Interesting Side Notes
Here are some really interesting things that we've picked up while reading Harry for the hundreth time. If there is anything that you think should be an "interesting side note" email us. Thanks, and we hope these side notes are very thought provoking.
Hargrid states during book 1 that "There's not a single witch or wizard who went bad who wasnt in Slytherin." Sirius was convicted of being a dark Wizard at the time and was imprisoned at Azkaban. Does this mean that Sirius was in Slytherin?
While we are on the subject of houses, Hermione says, "I hear Dumbledore himself was in it [Gryffindor]" during book1. Dumbledore was also the teacher of transfiguration. McGonnagall is too, and she also is the Gryffindor House Head. Could have Dumbledore been the Gryffindor House Head when he taught? And in book 2, doesn't Harry pull out Godric's sword? Now you could read into that as Harry being the Gryffindor heir, but what about Dumbledore? He was the one who was in charge of the hat and the bird. Voldemort was the heir to Slytherin, so why would he fear a normal wizard. I think he could only fear another heir.
We all agree that there must be SOME reason why J K Rowling includes the names of certain people during the Sorting Hat. Here is a list of all the names:

suspose to be the best witches and
wizards of their time who were killed by
                            Voldemort. Bones and Bones? Any
                            connection?
