When a character dies in Punisher X, he or she may choose to re-create their character, or a whole new one.
Now dying in Punisher X seems like it could happen easily, but that's not the case. Killing someone takes paitence and creativity due to the rules of T1. When two people fight in the Type-1 Style, they take turns sending an attack towards the other. The opponent may choose whether or not they get hit. Ah, yes, you may be wondering how this can be fair, well, YOU WILL BE FAIR OR BE BANNED! Now, Here is an example;
Joe Schmoe: The distant sound of a police siren can be heard as he stares down his opponent. The shadows of the alley seem to lash out at him. The only light is a red blur coming from an exit sign which hangs above a heavy steel door. He strains his eyes more due to the almost no lighting. Without wanring, he dashes towards Billybob, clenching both his fists. As he steps closer, he brings back his right arm. Moments later and brings his right arm in an arc motion towards the jaw of Billybob.
You see, that is an example of a post in Type-1. As you can see, it is atleast paragraph lenth and is quite detailed. Now, you can be as detailed as you want with your posts. In fact, being detailed is a strong point. Another strong point is creativity. The post above is not very creative, and therefore, can be parried easily;
Billybob: His eyes widen for a second as he see's Joe Schmoe run towards him. As he waits for the attacker to come closer, he narrows his eyes and begins to concentrate on what he can do to dodge. He notices the right arm coming towards his face. He sends his let palm into the wrist of Joe, rendering the punch useless. Using Joe's own momentum against him, he sticks out his right elbow at the gut of Joe Schmoe.
See, a more creative post. As the posts get more technical, it may become apparent that they cannot be dodge, therefore, that person has been hit. The limit is five hits for either person before they be killed or let go.
In Type-1, everything happens as it would in real life. Phsyics comes into play as well as realism. However, since Punisher X is set in the year 2023, something has changed. Bionics help people so they have unnatural abilites such as super speed, thermo-vision and a few other qualites. Just because Bionics is now an option does not mean a person can be completely made of it. If you choose to have your character built of Bionics, you have to choose two body parts that will be the Bionics.
Depending on where the bionics are implanted, a person may have the ability to dodge bullets. I will not say where he Bionics will need to be implanted, i will let you people think you know where they are to be.
Moving on to gun battles. Guns in a fight require extra posts, as well as reloading. You read this on page one. Shooting a person means that you are atleast five feet away and that you are not in the middle of an attack or parry. You can, however, unholster your weapons while dodging, but you cannot fire it in the same turn. This gives the other person a chance to react, whether it be attempting to disarm, hide, or unholster their own weapon.
When a person is wounded during a fight, to the point that they can no long function properly, they may attempt to escape. In order to do so, the one trying to escape must be ten feet away or have an obstacle big enough to block the person in between them. Then, they will describe how they get away. In order for it to be successful, you must clear a block within three posts without the other person catching up to you. I know it sounds confusing, but bare with me.
A person be wounded. That brings up another issue. Since this is Type-1, and your character is wounded, you MUST be realistic about something. If you are caught, say, using your arm to its full capabilites when it has a bullet wound in it, then it will result in a two-day suspension since it is a rule, but it'll count as a mistermeaner.
Also, please note that all posts are supposed to be in PRESENT tense. Not past, Not future, PRESENT. So please, when you get going in the game, DO NOT use any other tense but PRESENT. Also, it must be in Thirds person. (He, she, it) Not first or second.
