| Here is your shirt. You will be adding a zipper to the front (if you want), a hood to the neck, and a pocket to the front. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| If you want a zipper, cut the front of the shirt from neck to hem. Then you can fold back the edges 1/4 inch, or more, or not at all, then sew in your zipper. I'm going to assume you know how to put in a zipper , mainly cause i don't know how to draw it. You probably want a separating zipper, or maybe just a half-zip, in which case you only cut a line halfway down your shirt. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Next you want to cut a pocket. You cut it in this shape, with the width across the bottom being about as wide as the front of the shirt, and the width across the bottom being a few inches narrower, and the width of the opening for the hands, well, big enough to put your hand in. If you put a zipper in the shirt, you will cut it in half (along the blue line). if you didn't put a zipper, leave it as is. Pin to your shirt, centered, so that it is comfortable to put your hands in. stitch along the red stitch lines. leave the hand part open, of course. |

| Next you've got to make your hood. you cut 2 of the shape (right sides of fabric together) then sew the red seam. you will want to turn up an inch or so at the front (labeled face goes here) to finish the edge, or to run a drawstring thru. size: measure the neck of your shirt (all the way around) and divide by 2. make the bottom edge that measurement, plus a couple of inches for seams. you can stretch the neck and hood to make the fit exact. for the height, measure from the base of your neck to the topof your head, and add about 4 inches. |

| Next, pin and sew the neck of the hood to the neck of your shirt. you can cover the seams with bias tape, or just leave them. you can also cover the seam of the back of your hood, but don't have to . | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
