Welcome the Arkansas Chapter of the Pagan Unity Campaign!  Visit us often  as we are constantly updating this site.

Today's Update is concerning our county chair positions   for Arkansas.

Sign up for a County Chair
We currently have 3 county chair positions covered but need to fill at least a few more to ensure our message is getting to everyone in a timely manner.
This is an easy way to get involved in our organization in a grass roots way.
What are the responsibilities of a County Chair?

We ask you to print and deliver copies of our newsletters and press releases to local Pagan and Pagan friendly businesses.

We ask you to participate in  and promote all PUC projects  and campaigns on a County and State level.

We ask that you maintain a list of local elected officials and their contact information  as well as the contact information for local newspapers, both commercial and alternative,  radio stations,  and television stations that have local offices in your area.

We ask that you keep  informed of local events and going-ons for things that might effect Pagans in your area  and pass that information along so we may update our webpage and offer assistance as needed.

Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, we ask that you maintain an active membership on the Arkansas Yahoo group  to keep up with  issues that surround the PUC, besides we like to hear from you!

Having these valuable positions filled we will be in a better position to respond when our fellow Pagans need assistance in our areas as well as making a stronger impact on our Elected officials.

SUBJECT:
Pagan Unity Campaign's 3rd Year begins

Pagan Unity Campaign's 2nd year was a grand success.
2002 Campaigns:
The 2nd annual I AM post card campaign had even higher participation than the first.
The Imbolc email/fax/call-in campaign encouraged elected officials to "support religious diversity and tolerance".
Our Birthday card campaigns held by many of our state chairs introduced us to our state level officials. Lastly, we launched the So Vote It Be Campaign on July 4th and will continue it until Election Day 2004, working to increase Pagan voter registration, and education.

Participation:

PUC dramatically increased the number of Pagans participating in PUC campaigns over our 2nd year. PUC increased our Volunteer staff with 30 state chairs now filled, and all other states and US territories being covered by Regional Directors.
Campaigns:
Our 2nd annual Imbolc-Fax/Email/Call-in,Our 3rd annual 'I AM A Pagan' post card campaign,Ongoing state level Birthday card campaigns, and lastly our ongoing 'So Vote It Be' voter registration and education Campaign.

Participation:

We hope to fill the 20 remaining State Chair positions and increase the general participation by the greater Pagan community in our various campaigns.

PUC Newsletter:

PUC'S Voice, our educational and entertaining newsletter will return to the original quarterly format, add new staff and begin to hold Staff meetings monthly.

PUC Web Site:

Our web master has set some very high goals for the further refining of our already informative Website.  New features will include: chat, e-cards, message board, web counter, additional staff to assist with these and other improvements.

PUC's Senior Staff would like to thank the Pagan community for it's past support and participation in our important Pagan Rights Movement work, and invite them to continue to work with us until religious diversity is as accepted and respected in Lady Liberty's land of the free as She would wish it to be.

So Vote It Be!
