| ### From: Pagan Unity Campaign National Date: May 28, 2003 Pagan Unity Campaign Launches 3rd Annual "I Am" Project Nationwide- Pagans are strongly urged to make their voice heard on June 21, 2003. The Pagan Unity Campaign will launch it's third annual "I Am" Project, alerting government officials of the staggering number of Pagan supporters in their districts. By unifying the effort on Summer Solstice, the elected officials will be recieving their postcards and letters calling their attention to the size of the Pagan communities in their state and district. The PUC is not asking for hours of volunteer work, hundreds of dollars or cross-country travel. The busiest individual can help take a stand and say, "Pagans matter!" We are asking for Pagans to purchase a hometown postcard and mail it to their elected officials in Congress and President Bush stating, "I am a Pagan ______" Pagans are requested to fill in the blank with one or several words describing yourself. Teacher, Business owner, Mother, Police Officer, student, Father, Banker, Army sergeant, Airman, ect. We want to show government that Pagans represent a large and involved voting voice AND they range from young to old, professionals to students to retirees. Your description is the Key! By using hometown postcards, Pagans deliver the message that they live in the elected officials district. These personal touches are the key to political impact. The PUC encourages Pagans to throw "I Am 3" parties for their friends, bring postcards to their group meetings and leave stacks at gathering and celebrations to spread the word and encourage participation. By collectively mailing a simple postcard (with a picture from the Pagans hometown) on June 21, they will show Congressional officials that they are free, proud and most of all, united.
