I am a person who is very keen
about practical software/electronics. I always prefer to do my own
thing by gaining the knowledge. So far I have done lot of experiments
with software/electronics related to so many fields. I have done lot of
cheap projects as well as expensive projects by my own.
Here
I publish my some of the interesting projects that I have done. I have
done lot of projects but now I do not have their remaining stuff, but
still I can help anybody who is interested in those fields. All the parts
are available in the local market.
Those who are really interested in Electronics and Software to do
things by your own, it is recommended to visit the site
www.epanaroma.net
Computer interfacing is very
simple and you do not need engineering background at all; if you are
really interested on it. You need only to have a fair electronics
knowledge. (not theoretical, but practically). You can get lot of
information from the site that I have given above.
I will shortly add my own
information regarding computer interfacing with few projects based on
Serial port, Parallel port, ISA card and USB port. However if you are
really good at electronics, it is not impossible to implement your PCI
card, but we do need a special PCI interface chip, which has more than
hundred pins. Soldering this chip is the hardest thing and if you can
proceed this part it is not hard as you think at all.
You should remember writing the software for those hardware in
computers, is not hard as implementing the hardware part. If you can build
your hardware, it is not hard to write the soft codes for your hardware.
If you have not done hardware programming just start it with Pascal, C or
C++. It is very easy. Never think it is hard or impossible as the local
computer programmers (Dummies) pretending.
But if you are willing to do it in Assembler language at the beginning,
then it may not be possible. You need fair
amount of experience in programming before start it in Assembler language.
You need lot of hardware related information when doing such things
in Assembler language.
