The Public Issues Forum is a Memphis voluntary association which sponsors programs to inform and educate the public on current issues and seeks to reinforce the principles set forth in the Constitution of the United States
Statement of Purpose:
To nurture the development of a public informed on issues important to a healthy and progressive society.
To encourage Active Participation in the political process of our city, county, state, nation and the world.
To recognize politics as an essential and honorable process, and the greater participation there in, the more likely are the outcomes favorable to a free and civil society.
To bring together people of different religious and political persuations and people of all colors, recognizing diversity as a value and as a vision.
To affirm a commitment to be flexible in our focus, addressing any issue that might threaten a breakdown in community and social spirit and a deterioration of free and open dialogue.
