EC-206 ANALOG INTEGRATED CIRCUITS (B.Tech 4th Semester,2063) Time : 3 Hours Maximum Marks : 60 NOTE:- This paper consist of Three Sections. Section A is compulsory. Do any Four questions from Section B and any two questions from Section C Section-A Marks : 20 1(a) Define the term CMRR. (b) What is the role of a compensation network in an op-amp? (c) What do you mean by input bias current? (d) Define supply voltage rejection ratio in an op-amp. (e) Draw the high frequency equivalent circuit of an op-amp. (f) Draw the circuit of a square wave generator using 741 C. (g) What is meant by a window detector circuit? (h) Draw the circuit of a level translator ciruit. (i) Draw the block diagram representation of an op-amp. (j) Draw the pin configuration of 741 I.C. Section-B Marks:5 Each 2. Explain the working of op-amp as differentiator. 3. Explain how current to voltage convertor is obtained from an op-amp. 4. Explain the working of first order low pass butterworth filter. 5. Explain how PLC can be used as a frequency multiplier circuit. 6. Draw the circuit of D/A convertor with binary weighted resistors and explain its working principle. Section-C Marks : 10 Each 7. Describe the working of 555 timer as astable multivibrators. Calculate the frequency of the square wave generator if R = 5k and c = 12 pF. 8. Derive the voltage gain and input impedence of single input unbalanced differential amplifier. 9. Discuss the advantages of using op-amp in electronic circuits. |
