From humble beginnings on BBC2's Reportage, I began to appear as a token Psychologist on news programs both for radio and TV. Unlike most of my colleagues, I enjoyed the art of simplifying and de-jargonising psychology for public consumption. I have also been lucky enough to do this through Newspapers and magazines such as Cosmopolitan. |

The world of radio is very different from TV, for the latter you have to remember your suit and make sure your hair is greasy , windswept and so full of static you resemble Ken Dodd on a bad hair day. On BBC World Service radio I was lucky enough to broadcast to around 30 million people - but wearing old shorts and a torn T-shirt |

The BBC asked me to be the Psychologist helping teenagers with their life events, hence the program's title 'Life Stuff'. This ran for almost a year on BBC Knowledge and was popular enough to be repeated the following year. |

Having appeared on news programs on every channel covering topics as serious as murder and light-hearted as Christmas tree decoration, I was adopted by the hard working people at Granada Breeze and other Sky channels. I am available for the minimum of expenses, at least for as long as I enjoy making psychology interesting to the public. |
Here are a few moments I have enjoyed on TV.......
