| 6/07/06 12:55 A.M. - Psy I've added the first 6 books of the Dragon Ball Manga. I will add the next 6 in a while. As soon as I finish uploading all of the manga, I will move on to uploading "Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins." After that, I will upload the Naruto manga (all that I have) and then the Bleach manga. Keep checking back for all the add ons. I might eventually start adding the episodes and movies/specials as well if I think I'd actually get some downloaders and especially if I actually get some members to my forum. Anyways, keep your eyes here and you'll get what you want. 6/06/06 6:13 P.M. - Psy Ok, so I've only had 2 people join my forum. I guess that nobody wants to join, post, or anything like that. I wish everyone who even visited my site would at least post something in the forum but it seems like nobody is even interested. Since nobody has voted about the manga, I'm just gonna do it how I want to do it. If anyone was a better idea of how to set up the manga or my site or forum or something, then please, let me know. Otherwise the manga will be up. And I happen to like Bleach and Naruto so I will add those manga to the site as well. Maybe I'll even add on to the site with some Bleach and Naruto info, music, pictures, and other stuff like I have for DBZ. So if anyone has a comment, suggestion, or even complaint, please just join my forum and do all your talking there so that I can at least have some members and maybe even get some conversations/arguments going. Anyways, I'll catch up with all of you later. The manga and other stuff will be up when I decide to put it up so keep a look out. P.S. I know many people didn't like it and complained about it, but I also know that many haven't even seen it so I found a place where I could download the live action Dragon Ball movie from Japan called "Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins" and I have it now. I will be splitting it up into multiple pieces so that I can upload it and put it on my site for everyone to download and finally see. And I figured something out. It's not based on the beginning of Dragon Ball exactly. It's actually absed off the first movie, "Curse of the Blood Rubies". Those 2 people you see that everyone thought to be Shu and Mai are actually the 2 baddies from that movie and King Horn isn't Pilaf but the king from that movie. Anyways, that movie will be uploaded soon so keep a look out for that too. 3/21/06 3:32 PM - Psy Hey all you fans out there. I am sorry for the SERIOUS lack of updates and such but I lost my manga a while ago, I was in Job Corps (a training program) and not to mention the lack of traffic I've had. Anyways, for anyone who has been visiting, I have some good news. I have finally gotten all of the manga back!! I will be adding it within a month. I have a poll running in the forum, which nobody seems to have joined, about how often I'll add new books. So if you want the manga, go to the forum, join, and vote and I'll start getting the books up. I also have Bleach manga and will soon have naruto too so if you want me to add those, vote for that too. Thank you, and enjoy the site. 9/22/05 5:42 PM - Psy Hey everyone. I haven't been updating in a LOOOOONG time, I know. Like I said, I have been at Job Corps and I just got out. Thanks for the congratulations by the way. I don't know how many people, if any, actually check out my site anymore. If you actually look at my site and want me to add more and keep it updated a little bit, then email me and tell me what your opinion is and why you think that. You can click the Contact link to email me. Thanks for your patronage. If I don't get enough good replies though, I don't think I'm gonna work on the site anymore. Let me know ok? And also, while telling me your opinions, give me some suggestions for updates/additions to the site as well. 12/31/04 11:27 AM - Psy Sorry to everyone for not being on recently to update. I'll be here for another coule days so I won't be able to do much updating now anyways. I'll be done with the program I'm doing in about May or so. I'll try and do a full update sometime after that. Anyways, I'm gonna add something to the site that people might like. I figured I'd give you guys a treat. I've added it to the Quiz section so if you feel like testing your DBZ knowledge against other people, then go to the Quiz section of my site and click on the DBZ Trivia Tournament link. Then take the quiz and you'll be able to see where you stand against other DB/Z/GT fans around the world. 7/06/04 10:15 PM - Psy I'm sry I haven't been updating. As you have read if you have been to my forum, I just started a new schooling program 2 months ago and I will be in it for at least another 5 months so I won't be updating at all. The only reason I was able to add this and the new contest, which is explained on the new contest page, is because right now I'm on vacation from school. These updates will be the only updates made for the next 5-6 months, either until I finish the schooling program, or until I go on my next break in December. Even though I won't be editing my site, the contest will still go on because I will be able to check my email, so send in your questions and maybe you'll get lucky. I'll talk to you all again in 5-6 months. Until then, BATTLE ON Z WARRIORS!! 4/10/04 4:50 PM - Psy Hey DBZ fans, I've been doing some updating as you can see if you've been to my picture page since last night. I added a few DBZ flash movies that I found online. Some of them are cool, some are fun, and some are funny. I hope you enjoy them. If you find any others that I don't have, let me know by either emailing me or IMing me on Yahoo! Messenger. I'm also still looking for fan art so if you have some, send it in. Now onto the news. This past weekend, the regional action came to a fevered pitch in Orion in Canada. It was one of the largest events of it's kind to take place North of the border. In all, there were 68 different combatants that were ready for action. All you had to do was look at each of the players' faces to tell you everything you needed to know: these guys were out for blood.... not to mention the wonderful prizes. The prizes up for grabs were enough to motivate anyone to be at the top of their game. After all, when you think about the $450 cash prize, the promo cards, the card sleeves, the Golden Tickets and foil decks that were all up for grabs, who wouldn't try to deliver a beat down to their opponents for the seirous prize goodness? At lenght, the Top Cut was called, and those that were in it took up the gauntlet to press on harder and more determined than ever. With each successive round, the numbers fell by half until finally only 4 competitors were left standing. They were: 1st: Erick K. - Black Bardock 2nd: James W. - Black Brolly 3rd: Jason S. - Red Rush 3rd (tie): Dan W. - Orange Piccolo When these 4 warriors were paired in half, it was Eric facing off with Jame, each play black, both with powerful personalities. The two locked horns and the fight began! Though James made a truly valiant effort, it would ultimately be Eric that landed the final blow to secure his victory. Congrats Eric, you are truly a force to be reckoned with. So that's the story from Orion. Watch for more exciting regional updates as the season unfolds. Again, there is a new CRD update. You can see it by clicking here. That's it for this week's installment of the DBZ CCG news. Check back next week for more. Until then, BATTLE ON!!! 4/03/04 11:20 PM - Psy Hey DBZ fans, I got some news for you. First off, today was my birthday so I hopE you'll all wish me a happy birthday! I'm still trying to find some DB/Z/GT fan art to add to my site so if you have some you would like to put on my site, go ahead and email it to me. You can get my email address by clicking Contact at the bottom of the Navigation bar on the left of your screen. I'm also trying to find the manga because my old computer crashed, and I finally found a place to store my manga for you guys to download it. If you have the manga and I can DL it from you somehow or you know where I can get it for free, let me know. Now enough about that, ONTO THE NEWS!! It's that time again. Score's R&D staff looked over both the expanded and focused environment and saw that there were a few changes that needed to be made. Bud don't worry, some of them are the opposite of what you may be thinking. Here are why these changes were made to these cards. #224. Red Bolstered Defense - This card was changed purely because of Red Rush. If you set things up a certain way, you would always be able to return Red Bolstered Defense to your hand, allowing you to use it as another defense. This trick effectively turned it into a mini "Time is a Warrior's Tool" which has also helped fuel the deck to keep going if you tried to attack. We changed it to "Remove from the game after use" and took away the ablity to put it back into your discard pile. #172. Sugoro, Shapeshifter - Sugoro is actually a powerful yet balanced card in the focused environment. But, this little green guy is also the key anchor in many "first-turn win" decks in the expanded environment, especially with the new "1st-turn Earth Spirit Bomb" decks. Score has decided that the best solution was to add "Focused Format only" to him so that he could still see play in focused and also keep him from causing trouble in the expanded environment. The following cards have been REMOVED from the restricted list: Blazing Anger, Enraged, Gohan's Anger, Vegeta's Quickness Drill, and Trunks' Effortless Drill. This is the first time cards have been taken OFF of the restricted list in the DBZ CCG's entire history. After seeing the power level and some testing of the expanded environment, these cards weren't as abusive as they used to be. Blazing Anger, Exraged, and Gohan's Anger actually helps put Anger decks back into the environment with the speed of other decks, and Trunks' Effortless Drill is just as strong as everything else. This is also the key point on changes that might be made in the future as well. In teh playtesting sessions at Score, they are looking into other cards that may be eligable to be taken off of the B&R list. Hopefully this clarifies why some of these Errata and Restricted List changes were made. Other those few tweaks, the expanded and focused environments are both looking great. Good luck to everybody in future regionals, and stay tuned for the release of the Super 17 Saga in May!! Wanna get some powerful promo cards? Of course you do! To get these cards, you should check out the specially marked GT videos Realization and Conversion. The episodes themselves are great, plus you get a must have promo for your collection. Here's how it goes: GT 13: Realization = V1: Black Control - Ally based decks are a very popular archetype in Baby Saga. Black Control allows you to take control of your opponent's Ally for one turn. There's nothing better than turning your opponent's own friends against him! GT 14: Conversion = V2: Orange Analyzing Drill - In a game of strategy, knowing what cards your opponent holds is a key to winning. Orange Analyzing Drill gives you the ability to look at your opponent's hand once a turn! This shows what weaknesses he has and what he's got planned for you. Sweet deal huh? Look for even more V-promos to come in future releases of GT videos!! Attention all combatants! Remember, the Expanded Regional at Orion, in Toronto, Ontario is THIS weekend!! It will be bursting at the seams with all the extreme tournament action and swanky amounts of cardboard bling-bling for all those that participate. Extra cool points if your a top finisher. So be sure to make your way to Orion this weekend for regional action like no other! Click here for more info on Orion. That's all the CCG news I got for you for now. Check back next week for more. As I say after every installment of the news: BATTLE ON!! 3/31/04 8:43 PM - Psy Hey everyone. I've got some updates for you. I've added an MP3 page to my site. I finnaly found somewhere that I could put my MP3s at and I've started adding them. I'll have more up as I get the DLed. I'm also gonna be adding an Affiliates page to my site. I've got one right now and I'm looking for others. To find out how to apply, go to the Affiliates page, linked to under Miscelaneous. I'm still trying to get fan art. I don't have any yet so if you have some that you would like to put online, go ahead and emial them to me along with any information that you would like my site viewers to know. As soon as I get a few I'll add them. I'll be adding another session of DBZ CCG news here on Sunday so check back. And also keep an eye out for the fan art and MP3s. I'll be back sunday. Until then, CYA!! 3/26/04 10:18 AM - Psy Hey. I got some news again for this week. There apparently wasn't anything going on last week. I still haven't had anyone sign up on my forum, so if you want to talk about DBZ or challenge my DBZ knowledge or just see what other people are talking about, go sign up. Now onto the news. The new Banned/Restricted/Errata list will be up on the first of April, the month of my birthday actually. I'll be turning 19 on the 3rd. Nothing too special, just thought I'd mention it. Anyways, while the normal CRD is where to find the maintenance and upkeep rules, the B/R/E is where the real changes that affect the game come into play. So if you think you need to be up on the news, then make sure you check here on April 1st. For those of you who may not know, there is a redemption going on within the pages of Inquest Gamer magazine, issue 108 to be exact. The prize is none other than the Baby Saga promo P1, Black Machine Gun. All you have to do is turn to page 47, clip the bottom section of the ad ou and send it into Score Entertainment with a self-addressed stamped envelope. It's that simple and all the details are in the magazine. But if you are going to jump on this occasion, you'd better do it fast because this redemption ends April 12th. Don't let this promo pass you by. Here's a quick note on the upcoming Expanded Regional at Orion in Toronto. There have been many many questions about the entry fee for this event. So, to make sure everyone understands, here's how it is. The entry fee for this regional will be either $15 US or $20 Canadian. Everyone got it? Good! Great! Now get up and start getting ready to play! I still haven't gotten the newletter so I don't have a Tip of the Week for you guys. I don't know why I'm not getting it or when I will start getting it again. But for now, I'll just continue doing what I'm doing. I'll keep you all updated as much as I can. So until next week, BATTLE ON!! 3/21/04 12:04 PM - Psy Hey everyone. There's no new news to add to the site today but I'll let everyone know sometthing while I'm here. I have the forum up and ready to be used but nobody has signed up in it or posted in it. I hope everyone will like it and like it says in the Suggestions and Requests forum, if you have anything you think I should add or would like me to add to the forum or my site, post it there. I hope to see a lot of you people there. I'll be back when they add more news for the DBZ CCG. Bye for now. 3/18/04 2:41 PM - Psy I have an update for everyone. I'm adding a forum to my site now. I created it on EZboards because it was the first one and the easiest one I found. Plus I already had an account there. I hope everyone enjoys it. I'm gonna start adding a link to the pages now but I don't know if I'll get it on every page yet. I'll be back Saturday for more DBZ CCG news. Till them, bye. 3/15/04 3:10 PM - Psy I know I haven't added news in a long time so if you want to catch up, you'll have to check at www.dbzcardgame.com. I'm gonna add the recent news for last week. One of the longest running redemptions, the Colossal Redemption, is coming to a close at the end of this month! The cards, such as Interview with the Green Guy, Goku's High Kick and Mr. Popo, are still available! If you haven't sent your CC Credits in for these cards, you still have the chance. You must send your credits in before the redemption ends. All entried must be postmarked no later than 3/31/04 and recieved at Score Entertainment no later than 4/6/04. So don't let it pass you bye, send them in while you still have time!. For full redemption details, check at www.dbzcardgame.com. Last weekend was a Dragon Ball Universe explosion! There were 3 different regionals with more than 270 combatants delivering truckloads of beatdowns on their opponents. Since this was the first stab at regionals this year, there were naturally a few questions that came up. So Score decided to answer some of them on their site for everyone to see. Last weekend was the first time that the special card binders were handed out. Each binder contained a special tournament promo card, but some people wondered how it was ramdomized. It went like this: each binder contains 1 random card out of 3 possible promos. That's why certain binders had different cards in them. In the story where the format of regionals and prizes were posted on the DBZ CCG Official site, it was accidently put that 8 rounds of Swiss was the standard. Instead, it was meant to say 6 rounds. So everyone is clear, regionals should generally be 6 rounds. Some people asked if the Baby Saga Broly Subset cards are legal in focused. Yes, any playable card that comes in a GT pack is legal for the Focused environment, even if it has a DBZ back like the Broly Subset. Although if you are going to use these cards, you must use opaque card sleeves to cover the card backs. Some also wondered if the Kid Buu Preview cards are legal in focused. Although they have a GT card back, they come from the Kid Buu packs so they are classified as part of that set. Therefore, these cards are NOT legal for focused play. That about covers most of the questions that were asked last weekend. Now I have some info of the Vegeta "You Win" Form, from the Vegeta League. After some reorganizing, Score has updated the inventory of what is available through the League Redemption program. So if you participated in the Vegeta League, they have the so-called "You Win" form on the site for your use. One thing though, when you send this form in, YOU MUST also include the special "You Win" card for your entry to be processed. No copies, reproductions or proxies are allowed. Aside from that, you're good to go. To get to the form, click here. This weekend was an absolute regional EXPLOSION! There was 3 different regionals. What a weekend for Dragon Ball! At the regional at MegaCon in Orlando, Florida, the action was intense. And yet everyone stepped up to the plate. There were a total of 127 combatants that assembled to do battle amongst themselves, some from as far away as Texas, Michigan and even Alaska! Prizes included a total cash prize of $450, cards galore, Golden Tickets, and the very snazzy mirror foil version of their winning deck! The rounds of Swiss passed, and the strongest combatants seized the lead, each vying to keep it. Then came the Cut to Top 32, and the game began in earnest. These were the best of the best, but only one of them would be victorious. The slightest error could mean disaster, but where others might have caved into the pressure, this group thrived upon it. Each successive round, the number of players fell until there were only 4 left. Their names were John C., Rich B., Rob H., Shaun H. After the battle started, it was apparent that Rich B with his Bardock deck, would battle it out with John C. with his Hercule Orange deck. At the end of their battles, John stood victorious over his opponent and became of the first Regional Champions of 2004. That's the story of the mega play at MegaCon, but check back next week for info on the other Regionals that were going on at the same time. I'll update everyone next time, but until then BATTLE ON!!! 3/13/04 11:44 PM - Psy Hey fellow DBZ fans. Sorry I haven't been reporting the news lately but for some reason I haven't been getting the DBZ CCG newsletter. It's also because I wasn't able to get on to put up the news but my family got a new computer so now I'll be using there's to update the site and report the news. I'll do my best to keep everyone up to date on DBZ CCG news and I'll keep trying to find someone to do the other news. For now the only updates I have are some new Flash Cards added and I've edited a few more of my pages with the new text format. I'll edit the rest another time and I'll add new Flash Cards as they are made. I won't be able to add anymore Manga for a while either because they are too big to fit on geocities. I have to use a couple accounts just to fit everything I have on here for now. If I find a bigger server or a different way to get the manga up, I'll let you guys know but for now there will be no new manga. I'll be adding more episodes to the episode guide soon so keep your eyes on the site. I might add a Forum for everyone to chat on if I find a good place for it. If you have any suggestions, please contact me and let me know. That's all for now. Keep your eyes on Psycho's Lair for more updates. I will add another update at least by next Saturday. Good bye for now and as they say BATTLE ON!!! 2/1/04 10:39 AM - Psy Hey everyone, sry but I still haven't gotten the newsletter for this week or last week. And today I only got 2 pieces of news. Yesterday something great happened! The new GT site opened!! it is now opened at www.DragonBallGTTCG.com. And it has 3 main features to start things off.The GT Message Boards, the News Page, and the Game Demo. After that, they plan to bring us other fun and useful functions, the kind that we've come to expect from Score. In particular, an increased interactivity with the site to make travel on the site that much easier. For the last 4 years. Score has been publishing the DBZ CCG. During that time, they have introduced a wide variety of new mechanics, cards, tournaments, and collectability to players across the world. In 3 weeks, the new evolution of DBZ, DBGT, will be released. Over the last 4 months, Score has slowly released info about this new set, showing it<s continuation from DBZ, as well as many new game aspects. There is still something that hasn't even been touched on yet - the ULTRA-RARES! The first one I got to show you is our great hero, Goku, Super Saiyan 4, Level 5! This card has 16,000,000 as his highest power rating and is the most powerful character ever printed. Not only does it have the highest power rating but he also has the largest evergy attack ever, even counting GT cards. For 4 power stages, Goku can do a 20 point evergy attack! Yes, Goku can knock off a full 1/4 of a player's 80 card deck in 1 single attack! Of course if there is a Goku Level 5 as one of the Ultra Rares, there has to be his arch nemesis as another. Baby Vegeta, Golden Oozaru, Level 5! This card is just as powerful as Goku, Super Saiyan 4, but his PR starts lower than Goku. His attack is free, just like most Physical attacks, and it does a straight twenty power stages of damage! This is obviously the most powerful Physical attack that Score has EVER made! Finding it hard to advance to level 5? Can<t gain enough anger fast enough? Well in GT advancing your MP is even easier. There are a wide variety of cards to help advance MPs and a few that just advance them all on their own! On of the best is Saiyan Supreme Mastery, which lets your MP start at Level 2! In just a few more weeks, everyone will get the chance to see the full power of the DBGT expansion. I've added the next 3 chapters of manga to the site so check it out and enjoy. I will be adding 2 DBZ style games I made myself. 1 is a shooter I made where you can be Goku, Gohan, Goten, Vegeta, or Future Trunks. The other one is a Pac Man style game where u have the head of Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and Piccolo. I hope you enjoy those when I get them on. Until then, check out the other stuff on my site. Well, that's all I got for you this update. For more news, stay tuned and check back all the time, and while your here, sign my guestbook and check out my other site features. And as I always say, BATTLE ON!! 1/24/04 2:20 PM - Psy Sorry to announce but once again I lost my news person. Jin couldn't get onto here to do the news so now I am looking for someone else to do it. If you are interested or know somone who would be, either contact me through email or IM me on Yahoo. Now onto the news. Apparetnly the Kid Buu Saga has been nominated for the Best CCG Explansion in the 2003 Inquest Gamer Fan Awards. You can show your support for the game by exercising your right to vote. The polls are already open. Just go here, scroll down to the bottom of the page and cln where it says, "Click here or the image to the right to cast your vote." Then just fill out the form and you've done it. Let's see if we can make the Kid Buu Saga the winner! Attention all ZWarriors, here's an important update about the Premiere Events Schedule. There will NOT be a Regional Event held at Orcon this year. Apparently there have been many questions concerving this as Orcon did not appear on the original schedule that was released here. There was a bit of confusion on this issue so score is glad to shed some light on that for you. There will still be Reginals at Wizard World and Anime Expo. Sorry about the confusion. As many of you know, the official release dat for GT was recently pushed back a week. But did you know that the GT Pre Release is still the weekend of February 7th and 8th? So taht means there will be two weeks inbetweenthe Pre Release and the release of the product. It's no biggie, but I thought you guys would want to know. As for the Pre Release itself, it's gonna be fantastic. gt is all about more power and nothing says that like a Pre Release where you get to unleash that power on your friends and try to harness it for yourself. Want to know where you can get the GT Pre Release where you are? Check here. The launch of the long awaited GT website is almost here. So how soon is soon? How's February 1st?! First off, you can find the site at www.DragonBallGTTCG.com but if you try to go there right now you'll only get a spash page, but when the next site goes live, there will be two main features to start things off! The GT Message Boards: Pretty similarto the DBZ message boards. A place to talk about strategy, deck archetypes, and other things about GT. News Page: After the new site starts, all news on the GT TCG will be shown on the GT site instead of the DBZ site. Makes sense right? There are 2 things that are being worked on to be added in the next update of the site. Game Demo: There will be a very cool downloadable demo on the new website. The video will feature none other than Chris Sabat himself taking you thru a step-by-step demo on how to play GT. Be sure to check it out. Email Newsletter: Once everyone has had a chance to get signed on to the new site, an email newsletter will start up apart from Z-Warriors. This new newsletter, that is being called Power Up! will focus on GT and the power that can be found there. Whether you're a longtime reader oof Z-Warriors or just starting off in the GT world, there will be something there for you. There will be many more additions to the new GT site so stay tuned for updates and check out the site on the 1st when it starts. I hope you enjoyed the news for today, I will put up the Game Tip of the Week once I get the newsletter. Until then, this is Psy signing off and saying BATTLE ON!!! 1/20/04 1:00 PM - Psy I have heard from Jin. Apparently for some reason he can't get on here to do his news. I'll find out what's going on and if he still can't get on, I'll find someone else (again). Don't worry, eventually I'll get someone helping me with the news. But enought of that, now onto the updates. As you can see, I've done a few changes to the site. The text is now orange like the DBs, the links are red like the stars, and the visited links are green like shenron. I changed it to make it easier to read with the background. I'll edit the rest of the pages like this when I get the time. If you have any other suggestions or complaints about this or something else, let me know. That's all for now. Talk to you all next time. 1/17/04 10:12 AM- Psy Well I guess Jin hasn't done his news yet. Hopefully he'll do it on monday like he's supposed to. Anyways, on to the news. The release of the new GT TCG has beened changed. Usually there has been a week or so difference between when the First Edition and the Standard Edition sets hit the soters. Apparently Score decided to change it for the best. Nwo both sets will come out on February 20th. So don't worry, they'll be here, only a week later than before stated. Today I got some news for you on the new GT High-Techs! In each GT starter you will find 2 cards made out of clear plastic. One is a combination scouter/Physical Attack Table. There are 8 versions of these cards, each with a different character. In the upper left-hand corner of each card is the Scouter visor to track your personality's current Power Level. The rest of the card is the new Physical Attack Table. Click here for a look at Baby (Bebi for all u true fans) Vegeta's version. The other clear plastic card is the High Tech Personality. Each one is a normal Personality, but they have certain pieces missing from their card. These pieces could either their PUR (Power Up Rating), some of their Power Stages, or even their entire Power Text! In order to make one of the new High Techs into a fully funcional Personality, you have to combine it with a Backer card. Backer cards can be played as a normal card in the game, and they also can go behind a High Tech Personality card and give the Backer card's effects and power stages. This means that each High Tech Personality can have many different effects and power ratings. Every High Tech Personality that you have can be changed into many different Personalities, each with different abilities and stats. Each Backer is a normal card that can be played in your deck just like any other card. However, they also each contain six Power Stages and a PUR. These numbers don't do anything when they are played like any other card. At the start of each game, if you have a GT High Tech Personality as one of your Main Personality cards, you can choose one Backer from your deck to place underneath your Main Personality Stack. That Backer works for all of the High Tech Personalities in your Main Personality Stack, and stays underneath them for the rest of the game. Click here for an example. If the Backer has a Personality's name in it's title, then that Backer can only be used for that GT High Tech Personality. If there is no Peronality in the title of the Backer then it can be used for any GT Hight Tech Personality. That's it for the news on the new GT TCG. stay tuned here for more next week. Now it's time for this weeks Game Tip of the Week! !!!GAME TIP OF THE WEEK!!! If you didnt read last weeks tip, were covering the forgotten cards; cards that dont normally get played but still have the potential to make it in the games current environment. Well last week we covered Saiyan Saga and this week well be covering Frieza Saga. Piccolos Stomp (card #115) is a Heroes Only energy attack for 5 life cards of damage that cannot be stopped, prevented or reduced by Main Personality powers. If "Piccolo's Flight" is in play, this attack does 7 life cards of damage, instead. This card is the perfect answer to Android 19 Orange and Blue Trunks Dragon Ball decks. Straining Focusing Move (card #25) stops all energy attacks for the rest of the combat! However the drawback is it cost 2 life cards to use, not much of a draw back if you ask me. Plus the card isnt removed from the game after use! Finally, Villains Teamwork Drill (card #102) is a Villains only drill that reads. Opponents can play only 1 Dragon Ball on their turn. Also, if Saibaimen are in play anywhere, heroes must play with their cards face up during combat. While that may not sound like much, this deck makes ball decks move slower than a slug on muscle relaxers. Next week, Trunks Saga... -SiNxGriP That's all for this week. I'll be back next week to let you know more about the CCG. I hope you are enjoying these news updates. If you have any problems, complaints, or tips about the news or the style, let me know. Otherwise, come back real soon. 1/13/04 9:33 AM - Psy Well I got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that Lawson and Hildegarn haven't done their jobs so they are fired. The good news is I already have someone lined up to help me. His name is Jin. He will be taking over the DB/Z/GT releases on which will be on mondays now. I will still be doing the CCG news on fridays and saturdays and another change in the schedule. Me and Jin will both be doing any other news we find on whatever day we get the chance. So hopefully the new guy will do his job. Later today you can meet him cause I'm gonna have him do his first report today and continue on every upcoming monday. And now an update. I've added 2 new quizzes. They are a second and thrid part of the Specials/Movies quizzes. I have also made each quiz 75 questions at tops and have fixed some errors and the numbering. I will soon add some new sections of the DB Episode quizzes. I hope you enjoy. Talk to you next time. 1/10/04 12:40 PM - Psy I got a little change in the schedule here. I will now be doing the DBZ CCG news on saturdays because that's when I recieve the newsletter. And now for an update on yesterdays news. First let's do some more on the new DBGT CCG. If you didn't know, the set will be released on Feb. 13th! That's just 1 month away. So as we get closer, expect more info on the cards, characters, and everything else that has to do with the DBGT set. And now for the DBGT CCG news. The packing of the cards is different this time around also. There will be 10 cards in each booster, 24 boosters in each booster box, 70 cards in each starter and 10 starters in each starter box. Each booster will have 1 Rare, 3 Uncommons, and 6 Commons. Each starter will have 1 High Tech Personality, 1 High Tech Scouter, 3 Main Personality cards, 16 Battle Demo cards, 1 Random Foil card, 2 Random Rare cards, 15 Random Uncommon cards, and 33 Random Common cards. Now I will give u the DBGT rarity count. There are a lot so here you go. 93 Commons, 77 Uncommons, 72 Rares, X Ultra-Rares (They are keeping this a surprise for now), 6 Previews, 24 Starter Deck Main Personalities, 24 High Tech Personalities, and 36 Subset cards. The Subset cards are all based on DBZ Movie 10: Brolly, Second Coming. There will be new Brolly levels, including a new, very powerful, level 5 Brolly! The new Brolly has a PUR of 9, as well as and energy attack doing 15 life cards of dammage!! There are also a whole new set of combat cards that work graet with Brolly. So if you like Brolly, get ready for a huge boost to your decks. There is also something else different about the Baby Saga cards. In most sets there were a standard foil for the Common and Uncommon cards and a special foil for the Rare and Ultra-Rare cards. But in the Baby Saga ALL of the cards are in Both foil and special foil forms! Commons, Uncommons, Rares and Ultra-Rares are in two foil versions! And not only that, but EVERTHING is foiled! All cards in the boosters, all cards only available in starters, even the cards only in the Battle Simulator, everything is foiled, and not just once but twice. And guess what that means Z Warriors. That means that in every 3 packs you open, there will be 2 foils! I bet everyone likes that. Like I said, I get the newsletters on saturday so I will do the Game Tip of the Week now. And like I said, I got these from the newsletter so I didn't writ them. Enjoy. I was looking back at where this game was when I started, and got to thinking there are any number of cards left from Saiyan Saga that are still viable in the present tournament environment. Im not talking about staples like Nappas Energy Aura and Vegetas Physical Stance. Im looking for cards that have always been over looked and tossed to the wayside. Cards like Blue Cradle Drill (Card #138 from the Saiyan Saga) this drill makes your opponent lose 1 power stage to a minimum of zero for every life card you lose. Remember this cards been changed to read any time a card goes from your life deck to discard. Babas Energy Blast (card #225 from the Saiyan Saga) this card can be used when needed and has the effect your opponent discards the top 3 cards of his deck. So when Roshi stacks the top of his deck, hit em with the energy blast and mess up their hand. Straining Ankle Smash Move (card # 39 from the Saiyan Saga) treat this card as if it read, Use when needed, immediately after your opponent attacks you and pays any costs for that attack. Lower your opponents Main Personality 4 power stages immediately when played. This can be a physical or energy attack. Since its not to a minimum of zero, things can get really ugly for your opponent and you still get to defend against the attack. OUCH!!!! Watch out next we Ill be covering Freiza Saga. Watch out for falling Saiyans, I mean trips down memory lane. -SiNxGriP- 1/09/04 12:45 PM - Psy Hey everyone, it's me again. Apparently Lawson hasn't been doing his job. I'm giving him till next week to do what he's supposed to and if he doesn't then I'll find someone else. Now onto the news. As I said, I'll be doing news about the DBZ CCG. I got this news from the official site and I got the Game Tip of the Week from the Newsletter. There have been some additions to the Banned/Restricted list for Dragon Ball Z. Here is an example of one direct from the official site: Cosmic Backlash (Cell Games Saga #121) - This card has been added to the Banned List. In the upcoming Expanded format, all Tuff Enuff only cards are playable - there is no separation between the card roster for Standard and Tuff Enuff tournaments. Since this allows for Cosmic Backlash to again be tournament playable, we have decided to preemptively ban Backlash so there will be no confusion about it. These changes have been made to keep the tournament environment balanced and in order to ensure the stability and viability of the many differ decks in the future. Now for some news on the upcoming DBGT TCG, a follow-up to the popular DBZ CCG. There have been some changes to the look of the cards in the GT set. Some examples of these changes are on the Drill and Setup (Non-Drill, Non-Combat cards which are now simply called a Setup) cards. There has also been some additions to the physical combat, energy combat, and personality cards. You can see one example here on one of Ubuu's personality cards. More info on that to come later on. The upcoming Vegeta Leauge will be starting NEXT FRIDAY! All you Z Warriors out there get your decks ready cause it's closing in. You,ll be able to meet new Z Warriors in your area and of course win new, exclusive DBZ cards to add to your collection. And since I'm so nice I'm gonna show you 3 previews of the cards you could win: Gone Fishing, Vegeta's Gutter Wallop, and Scientific Repatching. So get to your local retailer and ask them when their Vegeta League will start. I'm sure none of you warriors out there are gonna wanna miss this leage. And as they say.... BATTLE ON.... I don't have a Game Tip of the Week this week cause I didn't recieve one from the site. I'll add it here when I get it though so you'll get it soon. I'll be back next week to add more news, I hope you liked what I had for u and hopefully hildegarn will do the news on monday and Lawson will add his on wednesday. Till next time. 1/6/04 7:18 PM - Psy I'm back and I've got some good news for you people looking for news. I got someone else to help and I've got a setup made. On mondays the new guy is gonna be doing news on DB/Z/GT. His name is Hildergarn88. If he wants to be called something else he'll let u know. On wednesdays, Lawson will be doing news on DB/Z/GT product releases and on fridays I will be doing news on the DBZ CCG. Hopefully this new setup of mine will work. If not I'll figure something else out. While I'm here I'll let u know that there are some new midis and sounds up now. Go to the Sounds section of the site to download them and enjoy. Well, I'll be back friday with some news on the DBZ CCG and any other updates I may make to my site. I'll talk to everyone then. 1/5/04 4:42 PM - Psy I've added sounds and midis to my site now. The links are up on my pages and they go to the page where u can DL the files. I would add Videos and music too but goecities doesn't give me nearly enough room to add very many. But the midis and sounds are good so I hope u enjoy them. And I'm still waiting for people to send me some fan art so I can start my Fan Art page. If you have any, send it to me using the Contact link in the navigation bar to your left. And I'll still except any suggestions that you have about my site. Well, that's all for now, I will let everyone know when I've made some new updates. 1/3/04 4:39 PM - Psy Sorry everyone, but for some reason Lawson hasn't been doing any news yet besides that last report. I might end up recruiting another person to help with the news. Anyways, the reason I'm here is because I have an update to announce. I've added the first 3 chapters of DB manga book 3 to the site. The reason I started with book 3 is because, like it says on the manga page, I don't have book 2 and I'm missing some of book 1. I'll put those on as soon as I get them. For now, enjoy chapter 1 of book 3. And just so u know, it's linked to another address, but it is the same site, just on a diff one of my SNs. I'm using it for all my files. That's all for now, I'll put another update here when there's more to let u know about. 1/1/04 7:40 PM - Lawson Hey, this isn't the site owner doing the news.I'll be doing the news from now on. My name is Lawson and I've been into DBZ ever since I was about 9 years old and saw it on it's debut on cartoon network. Then I found out about the real japanese version and I've been into DBZ ever since. Now onto the news. The first news I got for you is Funimation's DVD Preorder Release for DBZ DVD 49: Cell Games - A Moment's Peace. The DVD should be released around or on January 27th according to Funimation. That's all I have for now but I'll be sure to keep everything updated. 1/1/04 12:15 AM - Psy Sorry about the updates I was supposed to do, the news, the add ons and everything. I didn't have the time before. I've done a few updates, added a couple new pics, edited the Episode Guide so it's easier to navigate, and I will soon be making the Movie Guide easier to navigate too. Now about the news part. I'm trying to recruit someone to do the news for me since I won't be able to every day. As soon as I find someone, I'll let everyone know by putting th einfo up on this page. So DB/Z/GT news will be coming to my site very soon, so be patient, and again, sry for the wait As you can see below, I found someone to do the news for me. You can call him Lawson. If you have any comments, missed news, or complaints about him, contact me and let me know. |
