Introduction
For starters, the Bible clearly states that Mary and Joseph were not married!
And, second, if you, dear reader, look up the "begats" account at the beginning of Matthew, you will see that the four women he mentions as being in the lineage of Jesus -- Ruth, Tamar, Rahab (the first to enter Heaven) and Bathsheba -- were described as a whore, a harlot, a trollop, and a "madam"!
"The four whorewomen of Matthew," you might say!
From this book so full of sex and violence, I've selected stories that are often referred to as being "edifying."
Bon appetit! |
