5:30 a.m. after taking our shower because its already 2 days that we didn't took our bath. We ate breakfast together with the students of Aquinas University from Legazpi City. 7:00 a.m. were moving towards Canlubang, Laguna to visit Asian Transmission Corporation (ATC) 9:00 when we arrive the plant and we was welcome by Atty. Lorenzo Siga, the Department Head of ATC also a Bicolano from Albay. Again he was able to introduce us on their plant were the transmission parts of an engine is being manufactured and export to the Southeast Asian countries, such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, China back to Japan. Whose owner of the Plant is a Japanese firm.
After a short ride inside the Industrial zone, we just reached the Pilipinas Hino, Inc., It is also a Japanese Company and by 10:30 we arrived at the plant and Mr. Edgar Escano a Quality Control Officer gave us some insights about their plant. ALthough the operation of the plant is abnormal, still they accomodated us. Inside the plant is the assemble up to finishing process. Were they are specialize in manufacturing the bus, trucks, etc. Its good that this plant does not prohibit getting pictures inside. So we had a picture session inside on it. It's 12:00 noon so we stayed on their canteen for our lunch.
12:30 we tackled the road going to Cabuyao, Laguna for Asia Brewery. Its too long to wait, finally Ms. Ida Aliasas, also a Bicolana toured us inside the plant. First, its the Water section where the Summit Mineral Water is being manufactured. Then its the Beer Section which popular by the name of Beer na Beer, Colt 45, Q Shandy and Carlsberg. Lastly its the Botlle Section where the bottle of thie product is made. Its too hot inside because the temperature is about 2400 F. And our last destination is now the Penthouse, a place for the visitors which they provided for the free taste and drinking session. Of course, most of the class were totally satisfied. We bought souvenirs and took our photo session.
3:00 p.m. we moved to Manila and stopped at the SM Megamall in Mandaluyong. Some took again shopping and I with Mario just made a window shopping. 7:00 when we arrived at the Dorm, tong-its time again.
