Previously on the guild website called the Suicide list. Seems to be the System of choice in our current progression and situation.
I've opted for a fairly simple DKP system to understand and keep track of. After many discussions it seems that the DKP zero system may be the easiest. With slight modifications from the officers and myself we have came up with the following system.
Basically a DKP Zero system is a point based suicide list. What does that mean? It simply means people work their way up the list by aquiring points, The further up the list you are, gives you priority over loot from people with less points. Until you spend your points to take a peice of loot then 'suicide' back down to the bottom of the list. To clearify this I am listening some FAQ's below
What raids will use this system?
To keep everyone on the same page and keep a 'fair' outlook upon the full system. We are only going to have DKP in 25 man raids. I believe adding kara to this system will only further complicate things with many different karas running, Some of which may not be fully clearing yet.
How do we get Points?
Simply put, Helping the guild with 25 man raids. Now this doesn't mean there will be an open invite to everyone. We must still make sure the people we are inviting to end game raids are geared and listen enough for the content that we are attempting to run. But for those who are 25 man ready and show up to raids to help us out. Each 25 man raid will have the points listed as follows.
5 DKP for - Downing any 25 man raid boss in our guild raids.
5 DKP for - Showing up to the raid on time and prepared (*)
5 DKp for - Attempting new content (*2)
For example. Lets say Crazyhorn had shown up to gruuls lair on time, prepaired for the raid. And stayed until we had each boss down. His points would be awarded as follows.
5 DKP for showing up on time prepared
+ 5 DKP for downing High King Mulgar
+ 5 points for downing Gruul
------------------------------------------------------------
= 15 DKP for running Gruuls that day.
And another Example.
Lets say Atila was to show up to Mag's one day, on time and prepaired. Stayed until repops But then had to leave before getting Mag down. Atila would earn points as followed.
5 DKP for showing up on time prepared
+ 5 DKP for attempting a new boss
-------------------------------------------------------------
= 10 DKP Total for the run.
In this example. Atila wouldn't recieve the points for being there even though we downed Mag, Simply because he wasn't there at the time we downed him
(*) - These points will only be awarded for Being in the raid group at the scheduled time of the raid, And having everything needed for the raid. This means, not having to wait for someone Swap over from an alt, wait till someone is down with current quests/instances , or to hearth and buy Pots, Reagents, Repair, ETC.
(*2) New content will be declaired for any Bosses we are attempting that we havn't downed a total of 3 times.
