Ah yes...The rules....We all hate them but sadly, they are needed to make everything run more smoothly for the full guild. GUILD CHAT RULES 1. No spamming. Spamming is defined as repeating the same thing, over, and over again, and/or abuse of ALL CAPS. It also includes obnoxious macros and repeatedly begging for runthroughs, etc., which is highly discouraged in any case. That guild members should not beg for money should go without saying, never mind repeatedly. Spamming in guild chat will result in a warning after the first offense; upon a second offense, the spammer will be placed in time out for a preset period of time. If the person spams again after having already been placed in time out once, he or she will remain in time out until a senior officer deals with him or her. 2. Be civil. Don't start (or continue) petty arguments, and don't start (or continue) drama. As with spamming, a first offense will provoke a warning; the second, a stint in time out. A third display of incivility will find the offender(s) in time out until a senior officer can address the situaton. 3. If someone asks you to drop a subject, do so. Even if you may not understand why a topic of conversation might be problematic, please be respectful of your fellow guildmates. If you press the issue after being asked politely to stop, you may be either warned or put in time out, at the discretion of the officer present; if the subject is brought up again with clearly malicious intent, you may be kicked from the guild. 4. No excessive use of profanity. Repeated, persistent, or gratuitous swearing will not be tolerated, especially if the profanity is directed at another person. If you are asked to stop swearing and do not, you will be warned; if you keep it up, you will be put in time out; and if you do so again once removed from time out, you'll be put back in and left till a senior officer has time to deal with you. Whilst not a rule, it is a good idea to avoid talking about religion and politics in guild chat, as such topics often result in at least a few rules being strained or broken. FORUM RULES All the rules that apply in the Guild Chat also apply here. However, in lieu than time out, rulebreakers will have posting ability removed, and unlike guild chat, if you cross the line, it will be removed for at least 1 month. You will still be able to read updates, but will be unable to post. RAIDING CONDUCT RULES 1 All rules from guild chat apply. 2 If the raid leader requests silence in raid chat please comply, failure to do so can result in you being removed from the raid. |
