The idea is to construct a security gate by minimum cost which can provide security and research material to electronics students.

Introduction:
This project is about unmanned security system that tells the presence of the person. The system has Infrared sensors to detect the person or any moving object. The response of the sensors is then given to the logical circuit, which then command the other devices what they must do. This equipment can be used to count the number of people passing through this gate. The following system has two modes of operation.
Security Mode:
The door is fitted with infrared transmitter at one end and infrared receiver on the other end. When in security mode radar is also working to know the presence of the person in case the high level of noise effects the infrared transmitted rays to reach the receiver. If the path of the infrared is hindered then this sends a pulse to the alarm circuit that starts to alarm. At the same time the radar would confirm the presence of the person. For this mode there is no need of computer and can perform its work with or without it.
Counter Mode:
In Counter Mode, this system could be used very effectively for counting the individuals passing through the gate and recording them in the Computer. This is very useful for counting the number of persons entering the room or leaving the room. In this case the radar will be switched off. This mode is at the moment only software-controlled mode (i.e. computer is required to run the system in this mode).
Computer is there to check the states of all the devices in the above mentioned system and inform a remote security personal. If by any means the devices do not comply with the calculations of the computer. The computer then gives an error message to the user. Not only this, it will also has the capability of telling its user where the fault lies. The parallel port will carry out connection of the security system to the computer.
