This is the heart of this organization.  This is where the name and origin of this organization began.  It all began over a spaghetti supper held at St. John's Church in 2002.
The Democrats are Using Their Traditional Association With The Catholic Church To Promote Their Political Careers and The Catholic Hierarchy Are Failing To Stand Up To This Political Railroading
On  June 18, 2004, the USCCB issued a statement entitled, "Catholics In Political Life" It stated, " The catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral princiiples.  They should not be given awards, honors, or platform which would suggest support for their actions. See document here.
On September 2004, newly formed Bishop Richard Malone, promised at the PLEA luncheon, that he would honor and uphold this statement of the USCCB.

On February 28, 55 Catholic House Democrats issued a statement of principles.  The full text can be viewed at: Statement Of Principles
At first read, one might think that this is a good step forward for Democrats.   However, with a little knowledge of what phrases mean, one quickly discerns the heresy in this statement.  Of particular concern, is the phrase, "primacy of conscience."  With the stroke of a pen, these Democrats who are so eager  to court the Catholic vote, have revealed their true colors and given themself away.

By signing this document, these 55 House Democrats have disgraced themselves as Catholics. They have expressed dissent and they should be reprimanded and/or excommunicated as public heretics.

Primacy of Conscience by Sandra Navia

Read down into the second line of the 4th paragraph and you will see the words "primacy of conscience".  "Primacy of conscience" is the way dissidents attempt to justify their pro-abort position and still remain in good standing with Holy Mother Church.  This all began in 1963 immediately after Pope Paul VI, of happy memory, issues his prophetic encyclical Humanae Vitae which states that Church fobids the use of artificial birth control and if used and accepted will lead to abortion and euthanasia.  At that time some 250 theologians issues a public denial of the encyclical and a public refusal  to accept papal teaching.  They dissented on the objective truth of Church teaching laying claim to "primacy of conscience."  The dissenters were not firmly and universally rebuked and essentially got away with it because the bishops were lax on teaching Humanae Vitae.  Catholics in droves, laid claim to 'conscience' instead of heeding Church teaching and started using artificial birth control.  The sexual revolution was well underway, that and liberalism entered the Church, the Latin Mass was pushed into the background, the protestanized New Mass was developed and by 1973, Roe v. Wade brought abortion on demand.  Statistics tell us that Catholics abort just as much as non-Catholics.  Euthanasia
has been 'legalized' in Oregon.  In 2002, clerical homosexual perversion and pederasty and its ecclesiacial cover-up was exposed.  We followed the killing of disabled Terri Schiavo for 14 days.  "Primacy of conscience" has been carried over today into the homosexual 'rights' arena.  Some theologians, like Rev. James Keenan, S.J. of Boston College, has written a book in which he outlines this idea of 'primacy of conscience'.  Fr. Keenan claims that there are two groups of Catholics within the Chruch.  One group believes in Sacred Tradition and Church teaching and the other group claims to still be in "union" with the Pope and the Church only they reject Church teaching on abortion and sodomy on the basis of their "primacy of conscience."  (This is the smoke of satan within the Church.)  Fr. Keenan is agitating for married and homosexual priests, for women priests, and for same-gender "marriage."  He is one of the Catholic priests who testified in a Massachusetts courtroom against marriage between one man and one woman, saying he couldn't see how two people who are in a committed relationship could hurt traditional marriage.  Mike Michaud is Catholic and for abortion         (
please see documentation of this here ) and still believe they are within Church teaching.  They vote for abortion or sodomy and still come out smelling like a Catholic rose, or so they think.  The see abortion as just another social justice issue as the death penalty, war, poverty, and health care.  They see it as all part of the "seamless garment."  Only it isn't.  They are wrong.  Because life comes first, both in the natural moral law and in the US and state Constitutions.  The right to life is foundational. The unalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  Christ told us to "Choose life."  Life first, and the rest follow.  One must have life to have liberty.  One must have life and liberty to have the pursuit of happiness.  That's the order of things if our duties to social justice is lined uup with Church teaching and the natuarl moral law.  Catholics see abortion as a matter of civil rights and human dignity, not simply as a matter of religious teaching.  We are doubly faithful both to Church teaching and to our democratic responsibilities if we support the right to life of the unborn child.  Life comes first in natural law and according to our Constitution, but since 1973, Roe vs. Wade, our country put the heresy of "pro-choice" before life and the battle will go on until that is set right.  Every one of the undersigned pro-abort Catholic politicians use "primacy of conscience" to justify their voting for abortion, but in reality they are violating their conscience and lying to themselves and the rest of us.  They are in grave danger of losing their souls.  Bishop Bruskewitz explains "Conscience is the supreme subjective norm of morality, but it has no value unless it is linked to the objective norm of morality which is law, natural law and diving law and divine law being paramount. Therefore conscience itself can be erroneous and knowlingly to follow a conscience which is doubtful or erroneous about these issues would of course be sinful itself." Abortion, Lord have mercy on us.  In Christ and Mary Most Pure, Sandra
