Students for Life meets approximately every other Monday evenings at the Russell House University Union. Information about upcoming meetings is posted on the welcome/home page.

Roses for Life Fundraiser: Friday, February 9th 2007, we will be selling hand-crafted chocolate roses as a fundraiser for Birthright of Columbia. It's a perfect way to get your sweetie a gift and support the pro-life cause.

Students for Life participated in the spring 2007 student organization fair. on Wednesday January 31st. Thank you to everyone who either helped man the table or stopped by throughout the day.


2007 Stand-up for Life March and Rally: Students for Life participated in the annual state rally on January 13, 2007. Along with many other pro-life organizations from around the state, we represented our group by standing up on the steps of the state house. This years featured speaker was inspirational speaker/singer Gianna Jessen. She told her story of how she was the beautiful result of a failed attempt at a saline abortion. Her foster mother was told that she would never raise her head. She now travels around with her head and heart raised high singing and telling her miraculous story.


Baby Shower project: The Students For Life "Baby Shower" occurred Friday, November 18th. Thanks to everyone who helped out at the table or donated. We were able to collect a descent amount of baby/maternity clothes as well as a good sum of monetary donations from people passing by. I know that Birthright will be very grateful for our support. The South Carolina Pro-life March and Rally occured January 21, 2006. There was a large turnout with many different organizations present from all parts of the state. To see a few pictures click on the Rally link.

On Wednesday April 19, 2006, Students for Life held a fundraiser called "PUSH FOR LIFE" to collect donations for Birthright of Columbia. We managed to collect around $75.00. Birthright will be greatful for our support I'm sure. This is the flier from the event.

A few meetings ago Holly Gatling from South Carolina Citizens for Life came along with Wayne Cockfield. They spoke about various issues including the role of the death penalty and contraception in the pro-life movement and the ban proposed in South Dakota. Below is a picture of our speakers.
