The Piracema Project  is a non-profitable organization, located in Sao Paulo - Brazil. Some of its goals are the following:

1) Promote discussions, studies and investigations about children who are victims of domestic violence and distress;
2) Create a forum where this theme and other related subjects can be discussed, in order to improve ideas and knowledge;
3) Enable people to identify and treat children who are victims of domestic violence;
4) Gather and divulge as much material as possible related to domestic violence against children not only in Brazil, but also worldwide, such as documents, statistics, research, news from all available sources;
5) Counsel and orient the victims and divulge the best methods to avoid, repress and denounce domestic violence and other abuses;
6) Shelter and treat children who are victims of domestic violence
