| My name is Jackie Smithers and as you may have guessed, I've been selected to go on a gap year with Project Trust, teaching in Chile. I'm 18 years old, and I live in Hertfordshire. I'm currently a 6th form student at Monk's Walk School studying History, Politics, Law for A2 and English Literature AS. After my gap year I plan to go to university to study History, and then try and get into journalism, preferably broadcast, but I know it's extremely competitive! I would consider teaching - but we'll see how the gap year goes! |

| I enjoy reading, writing letters (I have two long term penfriends from Finland), playing my saxophone and singing. I play saxophone in the Mid Herts Youth Concert Band, and in an ensemble. I sing in the Mid Herts Youth and Chamber choirs.
