Project Amiga has worked in tandem with both local and national organizations in areas of social and economic policy and has received recognition for its work in the community.
Project Amiga has contributed to educating students on parenting and life skills throughout the greater Los Angeles County.
In addition, we have co-sponsored and participated at the Adelante Mujer conference dedicated to promoting young Latinas in selecting career and educational options including non-traditional career choices and mentorship programs.
Private Sector contributors have been very supportive of our programs by providing us with clothing, make-up, literacy kits, and gifts to enrich the lives of our youths.
Project Amiga's goals are to delevelop and promote programs that
respond to the needs of the community in the following areas:

Work Habits, Life Skills, Self-Image/Self-Esteem Programs
and Housing for Teens

Parenting and Family Financial Management

Literacy, English Language Skills, Job Training and Placement

Crisis Management/Intervention Networks for Gang, Drug,
Tobacco and Alcohol Abuse

Employment and Education Guidance and Skills Enhancement

Water and Power Conservation Awareness Workshops
