This is my fender jazz bas body whom i have made in 3 days...yes it is possible, fender guitars are all the same by the look except the acoustics (they only have 3 shapes)and some exceptions, and i have proven to my friends that they can be done in a relativly short time by hand, sooner as in one week If the glue would dry quicker and i wouldn't had a job in the morning i think i would have done this body in two days. But this is why you can see it is not very exact, the pickguard doesn't fit quite on to the neck and in the top corner(bottom on the picture) you can see a crack in the wood. This was because i was hurrying too much and didn't calculated some things quick enough.
and the qute devil cut in the wood at the back, with flames so as on the custom Gibson les paul guitar tops.
And later on i've bumped to a tutorial that shows how to paint a guitar, to be as a PRS painted guitar on which you can see the wood thru the color, so i had to take everything off and so i started with the front
I took the laquer down to the wood and painted it with a special liguid water-based blue color.

This drys in 10minutes, so no waste of time, i took down almost all the color, and colored it again.Than i've put on 3coats of laquer and the front was finished, later on i took the back side

The problem was in the flames.I had to mask it for the color not to come in.I didn't had the right masking paper so it came out quite a mess.
and almoast finished, i had to take down some wood by the flames to get the color stain away
And the end finished and polished
and black sunburst
