Making the existing jazz bass to be a deluxe more like (Roscoe Beck pickups) bass. I have decided to install extra pickups and to make bass hambuckers, or just a combination of coils to be used.I used the following diagram for one pickup. Here it is, how it goes:

picture 1: first i took all the hardware down, and i took off the edges as you can see that there weren't any on the previous sunburst pictures. When i did that i decided to take the whole coat of laquier down and to brush it to put new laquier on now with some new experiences and with an airpistol.

picture 2: I compared the coils, how i would combine them, because i have one pair of fender stock pickups and one pair of vintage jazz bass coils. So i decided to leave the vintage pickups as they were, combining them with stock pickups.I draw with the pencil the shape as you can see on the left.
picture 3: you can see the holes i drilled with a drilling machine for the coil-sides, and here you can see from the covers and the bridge, that the coat of the laquier wasn't applied quite professionally.

picture 4: here it fell, the first hole for the hambucker
picture 5: and the second hole

Picture 6: pickguard, you can see the three holes for the switches

picture 7: Measuring the hole for the extra pickup

Picture 8 : Drilling holes

Picture 9 : Finished the pickguard

Picture 10: almost finished, only strings has to be applyed and covers have to be put on, else finished
