Story
The game is set in Spira, and all of the locations that exist in the games are present. As are all of the characters from the games, and the races from the games, however things are a bit different in this Spira. First off, the events in the X and X-2 games never happened. This takes place in an alternate universe, meaning we can morph and change around the characters a bit if needed.

The Yevonites reign supreme over Spira, and rule it with an iron fist. In control of Yevon is Lord Kinok, and he rather enjoys his position that his family bestowed upon themselves after the Machina War's end. Yevon makes all the rules, and makes sure to enforce those rules harshly. The Guado and Spiran civilians are in league with Yevon, and therefore live happy and mostly carefree lives. Most characters that are in this game will be Yevonites, Guado, or Spirian civilians. Out of the three categories, most will be Spirian Civilians.

The Al Bhed and Ronso were enslaved shortly after the end of the Machina War. Yevonites feared that the Ronso would be bitter about basically being forced to fight in the war, so they were all enslaved and held in their home on Mt. Gagazet. The Ronso are basically used for building homes and buildings, and for crop growing. They are also used as means of protection, and Yevon is not below using a select few Ronso women for breeding purposes. They do not want their strong and powerful slave race to die out, after all.

Shortly after the end of the Machina War, Sin made his first appearance. Thinking that it was the fault of the Al Bhed for continuing to make all the forbidden machina, they were blamed for the war in general, as well as Sin's arrival. Seen as unpure and heathenous creatures, they were enslaved, with the majority kept in an encampment in the Bikanel Desert. The Al Bhed kindly refer to this place as Home, although it is more of a plant used for making hovers, weapons, and other non-harmful machines than anything. A large number of Al Bhed have been taken from Home to Yevonite and Guado households, to become servants, nannies, or even mistresses for men. As with the Ronso, the Yevonites want to keep their number of "servants" up, so they are not below using some Al Bhed women for breeding purposes.

Although life is hard for the Al Bhed and Ronso, they find a way to survive from day to day, and even secretly hope and plan amongst themselves for a revolt, a revolution. Although no one is brave enough to stand up against their captors as of yet, hope remains that one day a group will form that will. The unrest from the Al Bhed and Ronso, combined with the growing threat of Sin are making a great deal of problems for the people in Spira. The game's story will go along these premises. Will your character help start the Spirian Revolution, or will they simply go on living life as it has always been done? The choice is up to you.
