| Toby and CJ arrive at the White House at eight o'clock the next morning. Neither one got much sleep; it was their wedding night, after all. CJ's disappointed that she can't hold her husband's hand and have him walk her to her office; as it's only for one more day, she grins and bears it. They make plans to meet in her office for lunch later and CJ leaves Toby in the bullpen to go to her office. Their plans for lunch are ruined when a Democratic Senator dies. Toby annouces the Senator's death during his first briefing, and CJ takes meetings all day to try and help find someone to replace the unmarried Senator. The newlyweds don't see each other until the President sends everyone home at six o'clock to get ready for the party, which will be at seven in the East Room. CJ walks into Toby's office and sits quietly on his couch waiting for him to notice her. | |||||||||||
| She watches him work, looking through briefing books on the current situation with Cuba. "He's so cute when he's thinking," she muses to herself. He looks up when he feels her eyes on him. "Hey! How long have you been in here?" She shrugs. "Not long. Are you ready to go home?" He nods and stands. She's already go her coat on, so he puts his on and takes her arm to lead her through the door. "So, we have an hour and a half before we have to be here. Abbey told me not to show up until seven thirty to give the guests enough time to get settled. What can we do for an hour and a half?" TOby looks at his wife in amusement. Never in his life would he expect CJ to have this much of a appetite, not that he's complaining. "I'm sure we can think of something." As soon as they sign out, she turns to him. "Last one to the car has to do all the work!" She runs to the car with him following close behind. CJ beat him! | |||||||||||
