| In my life I've seen quite a bit of action movies so I figured I would put up the reviews of my favorite ones. |
| Action Movie review Rating 1-10 Hildalgo- this was an ok movie. It didn't have the action I was expecting. It seemed like about 90% of the movie was just him walking around the desert with his horse. Rating- 5 The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King- This was another good movie with action and suspense and a lot of cool battle scenes. I don't think that I liked the whole ghost warrior thing though, it made it a little too cheesy. Good plot and cool effects. Rating- 9 Big Fish- This was a very good movie, it kept me interested through the whole thing. It has a good plot, some funny parts, and a good ending. The stories are cool, and the visual effects make the movie even better. Rating- 9 Radio- Very good movie. The plot was awesome, the acting was great, the ending was cool, the movie rolled along smoothly. This is all in all just a good movie. Rating-9 Matrix Revolutions- I wish they could have just had the whole movie be the gun battle versus the machine, but it wasn't. The fight scenes between Smith and Neo were not what I was hoping for, it reminded me more of an old superman flick than anything else. The plot was a lot better than the second film. Rating-7 Master and Commander- This movie was pretty good, despite the lack of fight scenes and battles, luckily, however, it had a good storyline, so It's not that boring, the action scenes they had, however, were quite good. Rating- 8 Timeline- I read the book, so I could understand most of the stuff going on in this movie. The average viewer, however, might not be so lucky. There was a lack of battle sequences which made me mad, but the plot was good, and the action was good when it was there. Rating- 7 Once Upon a Time in Mexico- Very good action movie, good plot, some good humor and a lot of cool gun fights. Rating-9 SWAT- This is a very good action movie, plenty of fight scenes and car chases. The plot is not all that great, its preaty predictable, but all and all, a good watch. Rating-8 The Pirates of the Caribbean- Great movie, full of action and comedy and... My favorite, PIRATE LINGO. This movie has plenty of great action scenes and a great plot. Rating- 9 The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen- This movie is very average. Plot is not all that good, and it's full of corny sayings from the heros. The action is pretty much the only thing I liked. Rating-5 The Matrix Reloaded- I was not happy with this movie, the fight scenes were just as good as the ones in the first movie, but not any better. The Plot, however, was not as lucky, it was filled with confusing points, and one of the corniest love stories I have ever seen. Rating- 7 X-Men 2- Another great superhero movie. I do believe that this one is better than the first. You don't even need to see the first one to understand this one. The climax has kind of a thin plot, but the rest of the movie is great, and the Nightcrawler fight scene is incredible. Rating-9 Armeggedon- This has got to be by far my favorite movie, it has a little bit of everything. A love story, Science Fiction, Action, Comedy, and more, There is just so much action, I have to give it a good rating. Rating-10 American Outlaws- Great movie, has a nice plot and a lot of action scenes I recommend you go see this if you like wild west type movies. Rating-8 The Matrix- Awesome, the best fighting scenes I have ever seen in my life, and as always, there is no beating a movie with this much action in it, the plot is great too. Rating-10 Planet of The Apes (re-make)- Good movie, plenty of action scenes, the only thing that made me mad was that the ending is just so stupid. Rating-6 Independence Day- Great movie, I've always enjoyed good aerial acrobatics and combat scenes, a good plot, some funny parts. Rating-8 The Lord of the Rings- I've never actually read the book, but from what I've heard, the movie doesn't leave much out (unlike most movies). The Action scenes are incredible, I especially like the in flight arrow shots. The plot is great. Rating-9 Spider Man- This movie probably has the best action scene choreography I've seen since The Matrix, it has everything down to the exploding shrapnel of a grenade. The jumping and swinging sequences are outstanding. The plot is just as good as the action itself. Rating-10 The Sum of All Fears- Very good plot, the suspense is used very well to add to the atmosphere of the film. The explosion scene is awesome. Rating- 7 The Bourne Identity- Another great plot, this film has plenty of action and fighting scenes, it is kind of confusing at first but it all makes sense at the end. Rating- 8 Star Wars Episode II- This is quite possibly one of the best Star Wars so far, Action wise that is. This has the 2 things the Star Wars fan has been waiting for, The first massive Jedi fight scene where the Jedi really show their stuff, and the long anticipated scene where we see why Yoda is the leader. Very good plot and is doing a nice job leading up to the next movie. Rating-9 Windtalkers- There is plenty of action in this movie, but I can't say too much about the plot, it's good, not great. Overall, it's OK. Rating- 5 Minority Report- Very good action movie, but the plot is extremely confusing, eventually it gets easier to understand but it is hard to follow. Rating- 7 Men in Black 2- Awesome, not quite as good as the first but it is very funny, not as good as a plot as I expected, but still quite nice. Rating-8 Triple X- Very good movie, good action scenes and a good plot, a little slow moving at times but very very good. Rating-9 The Transporter- All I can say is, what? I really thought this movie had plot potential, but woh, it was like it was all adding up to a huge nothing. But action wise, this movie rocked, it was like it was all in fast motion, but they were just moving fast. Overall, I'm disapointed. Rating- 7 The Lord of the Rings: The 2 Towers- This was another very good movie, with all the leading up to and anticipation, I can tell the third movie will be the best yet. This movie had more awesome fight scenes with some very hand to hand combat sequences. Rating-9 Daredevil- Good movie, a lot of great action scenes. I really wasn't expecting much a movie when I went to see it, but I was pleasantly surprised. Good plot as well. Rating- 8 |
