This is a picture of a cyanophyta, these organisms are actually procaryotic orgamnisms and are classified as monera. The actual name is Oscillatoria. They have traditionally been considered along with algal protists in most botanical surveys. They are aquatic and photosynthetic, that is, they live in water and can make their own food. Becuase they are bacteria, they can be seen only with a microscope and are mostly unicellular. They are known as the architects of the Earth. This means that these small bacteria, billions of years ago, were thought evolve and change the Earth to make it as what we see today. This makes them tohe largest and most important group of bacteria on the planet. |
