Shelter is your main concern in a survival situation. Your shelter should be used in the right kind of woods. Or fit the style of woods. Such shelters as the ones below suit hardwood forests. Remember shelter is your first priority. Remember to be prepared for the unexpected. Also when making debris huts like the ones below, make sure that you have at least one and a half to two feet of insulation on the outside of the shelter. Most people don't know to insulate the inside but it is the most important part to insulate. And as a last note when itn is cold keep yourself away from the ground when building a shelter.
