Preziosa's Story
First Photos
I, Preziosa, am one of the strangest four-legged creatures this side of the Mason-Dixon Line.  I am a skinny minnie femme fatale.  Dont get too close, or Ill break your heart with my pleading eyes.  It is true that folks say I am sometimes like a Mexican jumping bean on amphetamines.  They sometimes refer to me a Perky Preziosa.  I can quickly dart back and forth in the apartment and across my moms body when she sleeps. Sometimes when I run real quickly, I can skid across the tiled floor as if I am skateboarding.

FAQ
When our meals are served, I often, due to sheer excitement elevate to my hind legs as I advance towards the food tray for a few paces.  During these moments, I am overwrought by my own persistent and high-pitched mews.  In addition, I must admit I feel a bit anxious, and my eyes become fixated on that food tray.  It is a kind of fear that if I divert my eyes for a split second from the food tray, the food will disappear and consequently, I will die of starvation.  This behavior seems plausible though since we almost died of starvation when we were wee kitties and therefore, I have developed a kind of survival anxiety.  Oh, the cruelty of fate! the imbedded anxiety of my trepidatious past.  Perhaps at some turning point, these overwrought feelings will dissipate.

Right now, I am hungry.  It is a pleasure to say however, that we are well fed kittens, and yes, we love to eat!  Soft food, dry food, treats, vitamins, cat grass, even moms food but she says it gives us diarrhea. So she cooks fresh chicken liver for us only on occasion.  I do, however, feel guilty at times that I survived, and my sister never did.

He pussyfoots around, while I talk non-stop like a kit kat Joan Rivers.  Catophiles refer to Guido as Gentle Guido.  One of the things he particularly enjoys doing is curling up in the bathroom sink alone. I suppose he feels content and thinks of himself as a cool cat!  He manages as well to unroll the toilet paper and scatter it around the house. In addition, he still suckles a lot on anything he can get his mouth around.  My mom is teaching him to use a terry cloth fish and flannel panels instead of suckling on her face and clothes.
Well, Guido, I dare say, is the strong silent type.  He has a strong square jock-type jaw,a sweet muscular face and the largest paws I have seen in a kitten, even larger than cousin Babys pawsand incidentally she is a full-grown cat. Although athletic and active, Guido actually takes things quite easily and possesses a mild demeanor. However, he can be a regular Rocky Graziano.
All right, I suckle too, although not as much as Guido, and besides I suckle on my own tail.  When I am finished, my tail looks like I just sharpened it in an electric pencil sharpener.
Contrariwise, I hop up on the bathroom windowsill to jump (Mexican style) up and pull leaves from the plant.  Do you think I fear missing the ledge after a jump?  Not a bit!  I must admit, I have had a few free falls during this risky escapade, but I immediately arose to my footpads and repeated this religious act with much gusto and a good degree of success. There is very little that frightens me.  You might rightfully say that I possess  catguts.
Guido and I occasionally engage in philosophical discussions of this type, and I must admit that he too feels quite guilty as well.  My mom constantly reminds us that we are survivors, and that she is very proud of us.  It is okay to survive! She says.  Your little sister is safe with your, mom in another special place where they watch over you.
Both Guido and I are very affectionate kittens.  I particularly like to jump on my moms chest when she is sitting back in the chair or lying back on the bed.  I purr so loud that the furniture reverberates.  In addition, I lick my moms face gently and rub my head into her face, and I occasionally enjoy patting her face with my paws.  We look deep into one anothers eyes all the while and we know that we are truly mother and daughter.  She even imitates my meows. She has my rhythm and pitch down pat.
Once when my mom was dozing off, I used both my front paws to rock her upper arm back and forth and I awakened her.  I guess I am just selfish that way.  I want all of her undivided attention whilst I sit on her chest.
I am not starved for attention however I like it a lot. Guido and I preen one another several times a day and many a time we fall asleep in one anothers embrace.
Visitors need not fear.  We will approach you with loving hearts, likeable licks, and presentable purrs.
