10. Q.  How do you think being adopted has changed your moms life?

A.  It has brought her great happiness.  I believe that she feels fulfilled caring for us and playing with us.  She is intrigued and fascinated by our personalities, and habits.  She enjoys having us around.  You can see it in her eyes every minute of every day.
6. What is the naughtiest thing you have ever done?

A. For me it was jumping across my moms face and poking her in the eye.  Her eye teared for over an hour.  Its not that I intentionally wanted to hurt her, however, I must admit that I can be quite hyper kinetic at times, and in my wildest form of play, I sometimes am unable to control myself.  And let's not forget about the lamp!!!
Guido, on the other hand has been known to growl at me and smack my cute face with his paw when I have tried to engage in play with him over my moms elastic terry hair tie.  He clamps that hair thing between his teeth and roams the apartment proudly with his nose and tail held high.  Sometimes he will go off in some corner with his prize and dote over it.  No one is permitted near him at these times or they have to suffer the consequences as I have.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here you can read answers to the most frequently asked questions, which are answered by ME (Preziosa).

1. Q: What is it like being a house cat?

A: It is wonderful, especially if you have a loving mom like mine. I like the freedom of running about when I like and sleeping when I want to. The special thing about being a cat is that we can climb up high and jump from high places and land on our feet without getting hurt. Cats are very curious therefore we never get bored. And don't forget how cuddly and adorable we are.
2. Q: Why do you have Italian names and what do they mean?

A: Because my mom is Italian. Preziosa means precious because I look that way. Guido means guide.

3. Q: Do you think people ought to talk to their cats?

A: Absolutely. My mom talks to us all the time, and we have learned to understand human speech, and she has learned to understand cat chat.
4. Q: What kinds of things do you talk about with your human mom. Give us an example?

A: Well, every day she holds Guido and me in her arms and says several times, "I love you. I love you very much and I want you to be healthy and happy. She looks directly into our eyes when she says this and we understand her. This daily ritual gives Guido and I a sense of security and confidence
5.  Q:  Between the two of you, who possesses greater leadership?

A. I dare say, thats an easy question!  Of course it is mew.  Having a type A purrsonality, naturally I take the initiative and Guido follows in my paw prints.  I am audacious, restless, and even defiant at times.  As I said earlier, Guidos mellow, laid backa typical type B Purrsonality.  MeOMmmmmmm.
7. When you look in the mirror, what do you see?

Prezsiosa:  I see the cutest little darling who can charm her way out of anything.  All I need now is a stroke of red lipstick which Ill get from my moms makeup case.

Guido:  I see a handsome muscular jock that usually gives in to a charmer. I have really big paws so I look like a baby tiger.  I certainly dont look at myself in the mirror as much as Preziosa does.
8. How do you feel about cruelty to animals?

A. Eh!  Look into my eyes.  Do these eyes look like they would tolerate something like that!
9. Q.  How would you describe your mom?

A.  She is the most loving mom a kitten can have and so caring and affectionate.  She is strict about certain things though.  She does not want us chewing on wires, nor hoping up on the counter when she prepares food.  She does not want us running out the door and up four flights of stairs.  She disciplines us by squirting a small water pistol at us, or shaking a tin can containing coins. I can be so adamant at times that I wont budge until she fires at least 5 squirts from that pistol.  My mom is also very silly.  She dances around the house with us and sings silly cat songs which she makes up extemporaneously.  For example :
I love my little preziosa and my little Guido
We are happy to play together because we like to have fun
We like to sing and dance and play ball
but if we jump too high we will tumble and  fall.
It's my toy--all mine
