| Traditional or high quality digital photos can be sent for reference. All photos will be returned. To make sure the house color is represented accurately, take at least one photo in bright light. If possible, mail a paint swatch. In addition to photos taken in bright light, send one taken on a cloudy day. If you cannot fit all of the house in one photo, take several from the exact same vantage point. Take your picture from an angle; this gives the finished painting more depth. If too much foliage blocks the house, you can send a photo of a fall or winter scene. These make lovely paintings also. It is best to submit the photo which most accurately portrays exactly what you want in the painting, but I can make changes such as adding spring or summer foliage and blooms if you provide photos for reference. Wires will be removed and driveway softened if it is too prominent. |
