| Southbury, Connecticut artist Jennifer Ruggeri Charest has been painting in the transparent medium of watercolor for over 30 years (as Jennifer Davis, Jennifer Ruggeri, and Jennifer Charest). She primarily does commissioned work, specializing in house portraits. She is also frequently commissioned for children's portraits, yacht portraits and pet portraits. Jennifer Charest has sold over 350 portraits to clients: Realtors, homeowners, and others wanting to give that special gift. Her watercolors have been exhibited in galleries, boutiques, and art shows in Rochester, NY, Fairfield County, CT, Ohio, Michigan, and Florida. Jennifer Charest received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education from Syracuse University, an MS Ed from Nazareth College, and is a CT certified Art Educator, Elementary Teacher, and Reading Specialist. She was a elementary school art teacher in the Rochester, NY area, and taught arts and crafts to children and adults in her Pittsford, NY studio. Jennifer Charest is currently a high school art teacher in Fairfield County. In addition to watercolors, she works in polymer clay, designs glass bead jewelry, creates decoratively painted furniture, and uses faux finishing techniques in interior design. |
