WEEKLY NEWS LETTER

12 AA PRILHA DRAGONS

MANAGER ADAM MCGUIRE

PHONE 32646814 OR MOB 0402447416

What a start to the year 24-0

Not much more can be said about the game except that all boys did as they were told and played very well as a team. As long as we can maintain the level of enthusiasm the boys have shown they will have a very rewarding year.

It was very hard to name the VIDEO EZY stand out player of the game as so many players had really good games. Alex was voted the best on the court but only just ahead of a number of other players (Chris, Preston, Joshua, Daniel, James Fleming and James Thelander).

I would also like to welcome all the new kids to the team young Ben who played very well and will improve as each week goes on. Daniel Brims from down at Murwillumbah makes the long journey every weekend to play for our club had a very strong game and has added a little bit of sting to our already fine attacking play and has worked a good little on field relationship with Joshua Mcguire. Also to young Mitchell who couldn’t play on the weekend because of registration problems but I am sure that he will become a valued member of this very good team.

To Garth (TAZ) and Luke keep up the good work at training with all the kids you are doing a good job and remember that the managers are here to support you.

To the parents thanks for your support because without the support we wouldn’t have a team. To our great little goalie I know you didn’t have to much work to do on the weekend but you will learn to enjoy those games as we have a lot of very hard games to come and you will get worked very hard. So take the rest when you can get. But remember if there are no shots on you it is because our defensive players are doing their job.

MOST IMPORTANT POINT IS THE ATTITUDE ALL PLAYERS MUST TREAT EACH OTHER WITH RESPECT AT ALL TIMES AND PLAY AS TEAM BECAUSE ONLY TEAMS WIN AND INDIVIDUALS LOSE.

THANKS TO VIDEO EZY AT ALBANY CREEK FOR SUPPLYING THE JUNIOR ACHEIVEMENT AWARDS FOR ALL OUR GAMES AND TRAINING.

All players remember that mouth guards, elbow pads and groin protection must be worn at all times whilst on the court those members that do not have this equipment can not go on the court. Don’t blame your parents when you turn up with out your equipment as it is yours and you should look after it and make sure it is with you at every training session as well as games.
