Does the Bible teach the Doctrine of the Trinity?
This debate was my first debate.  It was against two opponents who objected to the doctrine of the Trinity.  For those not familiar with the doctrine, this is an interesting way to get introduced to the subject.  The debate started off slow as both of my opponent weren't exactly expecting the content of the opening response.  Needless to say, it quickly deteriorated into a debate about the Deity of Jesus Christ and a seried of Ad Hominem arguments, in which my opponent focused more on personal attacks than the exegesis of the Scriptures that I offered to them as proof.  I never found out what exactly were the affiliations of my two opponents, but they were certainly united that the doctrine of the Trinity was not true.  One thing that should be noted was that the debaters tended to simply add their comments on my text so that was rather annoying to say the least, but I hope you can bear through that.
This debate is helpful, from the affirmative side, in seeing that the Bible certainly does teach that there is one God, and that the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are co-equal and co-eternal in nature, thus sharing in the same substance, or nature, that is God.  Thus, God is one in Being and three in person. Glory to God!   Enjoy and God bless.
