HIDDENNCHRIST2

I received your email and thank you for the time and effort put forth.  I read the lengthy email on the topic of the Trinity, and I can honestly say that you laid out perfectly every single point that I was taught from the time I was a child in the Southern Baptist Church. It appears that you assumed that I have never been presented with the doctrine of the Trinity, when in fact I was indoctrinated with it a majority of my life.

Following NoTrinity's line of thought...I was expecting a debate, not another "lesson" on the Trinity.  I will attempt to glean over a couple of the verses that you presented.

In discussing the Trinity there is absolutely NO WAY that you can present "one God" ...and then immediately turn around and start ADDING personages...and still have "one God"  This has nothing whatsoever to do with a mystery, or something difficult to comprehend, it has to do with EXTRA BIBLICAL resources!!!!  The bible clearly tells us that we are given the ability to understand the mysteries of the faith....and that the gospel is so simple that a wayfaring man or a child could not err in understanding it.  I think that presents a pretty simplistic nature of God and his plan for salvation.

As for the verses in Hebrews, John 1:1 etc.  We have many biblical accounts of MEN who were saviours, prophets, men that were called Elohim, and spiritually gifted individuals who ALL performed miracles in the name of God...and we don't see all of Christendom attempting to make deities out of them.  Jesus Christ was unique not in that he was a god or deity...but rather he was BEGOTTEN of God...and was a MAN who lived sinlessly!!!   All throughout the Old Testament we see the relationship of Father and Son being presented...as the type and shadow that would be realized in the man Jesus Christ the Righteous!  The depiction of Joseph being presented with the ability to rule over Egypt having all authority except the actual throne...is illustrating for us the way that Christ would rule in his future Kingdom.  First in part...and then no longer by faith...but in actual REALITY at the culmination of all things...THE RESURRECTION OF THE JUST!   Won't that be an awesome event?   This is our hope my friend...and though I have learned to reject the dogmas that Rome has infiltrated organized religion with...I still love those who have a zeal and a passion to seek and obtain knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  I am ever learning and growing in the faith and knowledge of our Savior, and I pray that you join me in that venture.

Grace and peace,
