Tina and I met with Walter Masters, Tammy & the girls. We met Walter in Kerrville, Texas on Friday (4-23-04) to bring him his mail. Walter carried the cross in Kerrville. We set our plans to meet in San Antonio to witness at the Fiesta on Saturday (4-24-04).
Saturday: After eating some food we headed downtown. Downtown, as soon as we got out of the truck I could tell that there was spiritual warfare. Two cars screeched to a halt and people got out of the cars to yell at each other, a classic case of road rage. Walter had just gotten the cross out of the truck, it seems that when road raged people saw the cross they settled down.
We headed toward the Fiesta Parade route. There was thousands of people, 99% of whom were drinking heavily. It was a lustful sin huge party, Tina went with Tammy and they stood on a side walk while people walked by and handed out tracts to people. Ashley and I walked at least six blocks along the parade route. It was so crowded some parts you had to really push your way through. Walter worked his way on the parade route and J�ann gave out tracts as he walked. We were there for 2-3 hours and passed out at least 1,000 tracts if not more.
I have never really known the meaning of Jesus� words in Matthew 5:14, "you are the light of the world." until I was walking down those crowded street at night, with people drunk, women nearly topless. I felt that I was a ray of hope in the midst of desperation, sin and darkness.
