It was an
unusually cold winter morning. Obviously too early for a Paleontology lecture on
the causes of extinction of dinosaurs.
Nothing was registering in my mind as I was yet to recover from the hang over
because of the late night meeting that I had with an old monk at a neighboring restaurant.
At the end of the lecture, the only thing I
realized was that the dinosaurs were extinct because the earth was hit by a
gigantic meteorite.
If such mammoth creatures could get
wiped out by a meteorite hit, how safe is this planet for a five feet six inches I?
That was when I decided to create a planet of my
own,
out
of harm's way. But I didn't know what to call it then.
Like many other
findings in the history of civilization, Pravita was also a chance one
occurring years after the
historic paleontology lecture.
It was when all my efforts to create a hotmail account failed with a miserable "user already exists" message, I realized that the permutation - combination of creating an unique identifier is more if I combine two names rather than one.
The first name that came to my mind was that of my wife, Kavita. Thus Pravita was born. Needless to say, I was overjoyed with the name. Now Pravita is a cyberspace celebrity and it is protected under the copy right protection act.
The population of planet pravita increased by one with the birth of Varun on August 18 2000.
