It is a place where the handicraft from all over the state come in the various emporiums for sale. The textile and garments factories provide cloth items which can be purchased from the shops or can be bargained on the roadside.

The 'fashion street' is a stretch of stalls lining the MG road between Cross and Azad Maidan where one can purchase cheap cloths in tune with latest fashion which can be worn without being embarrassed. The small cluster of shops on August Kranti Marg at Kemp's corner offer you with hip items at a very reasonable rate.
