| You may also try searching for the book "The secrets of Singing" written by Jeffery Allen. It comes with audio material and excercises for various voice ranges. Make sure you get the CD most relevant to your voice as there are both male and female versions for both low and high voice types. All I can say in addition is : Practice daily and seek professional advice from these and other reliable sources. Work on your speaking voice as well (singing is extended speech). Gradually begin to work on simple songs and nursery Rhymes exploring your tone and basic capabilities before doing the real hard stuff. Sing songs with alot of vocal "twists and turns" straight through at first to get the basic technique and notes involved. (Imagine your favourite artiste singing the national anthem straight. You may still hear that richness and robust resonance). |
| You don't need to jump for the ceiling or over ad-lib to be a good singer. Be yourself and relax. Excercise yourself and maintain a healthy diet. Do not expose yourself to cold. Last but not least carry a walkman about recording yourself daily. Check out your improvement. As the saying goes, you are your best critic. |
