Wet warm kisses upon the
cheek, Bedtime stories and
soft lullabies,
Building blocks scattered
here and
Soft pitter-patter of little
people's
feet,
Big bear hugs and I love
Yous,
Sweet smiles a plenty to
chase away
the blues..
Play-dough cookies and
surprise mud pies,
Small hand prints on the
refrigerator
door,
Cookie crumbs fallen on
the kitchen
floor,
there,
Crayons and coloring books
in a
favorite chair.
Fuzzy stuffed animals lying
around
on the bed;
Small soft pillows for
little
sleepy heads.

The presence of grandchildren
fills a home with bliss;
In their absence, these
are the
little things one does
miss.
