| The club's goal is to teach the members proper care of the family dog by insisting that the child take an active, if not full, role in the day-to-day care of their pet. This means we expect all members--capable of doing so--to walk, feed, groom, and clean up after Fido where safely possible. (Emphasis on safely: We recommend an adult supervise all child-dog encounters until the child is 12 years or mentally/physically capable of controlling the dog, whichever comes later.)

A 4-H Calendar year begins in October and ends in September. Members are accepted throughout the year however you may miss out on events if you join after March. The hard work of the members are scored in friendly competition at three local fairs: Silvanna at the end of July, Stanwood-Camano a week later at the beginning of August, and the Monroe (Evergreen State Fairgrounds) middle-end of August. The Puyallup Fair is by invitation only and is open only to members who score well at the Monroe fair.

What do we do?
Members participate in Obedience and Showmanship training. In order to exhibit at fair they must also do a demonstration, complete a Record Book, attend a Dog Judging, and attend a certain percentage of meetings. Agility and Therapy visits are also available.
Where are the meetings?
Training and club meetings are held in Marysville, WA, but not in the same location. Directions given to interested persons.
When are the meetings?
Meetings are held every Tuesday from 6 pm to 7 pm. The first Tuesday is a non-dog business meeting.
Why join?
Precious Paws is a relaxed club with a small number of members that puts emphasis on fun and helping the kids achieve their training goals. Winning ribbons at fair are just icing on the cake. If we don't work out for you we are happy to help you find a more suitable club, just ask.
How much?
We have no membership fee. Instead of the fee, the members participate in fundraisers throughout the year so we can pay for pins, fair entries, as well as various fun activities.
