�I�m okay,� Alicia answered to Lily. �Just a horrible nightmare. No biggie.�
�Good� Lily said again, hugging Alicia. Lily looked at herself, the feeling came again, but she tried her best to keep the tears in.
�Lily, why can�t you come?� Alicia questioned, looking up on Lily.
�There are a couple reasons, actually. Well, one of them is� Your father has servants at your new home already, so what could I make money from?�
Alicia cut Lily off, �I almost sure daddy will lend you some money if you take care of me, that is if you want.� She said more eagerly.
�No, Alicia, that�s not a good idea. Your father has too much to worry about. Your complaints are going to make him more complicated. Do you hear me?� She said strictly as tears left Alicia�s eyes.
�You mean, you �want� to leave,� She said as tears slowly dripped from her chin on to her nightdress.
�Now, Alicia you know better than that. Why would I ever want to leave? I just don�t want you to make your father more worryingly. Let�s just let him take care of his business, and we can take care of ours. Okay?� She finished with.
�Okay� Alicia tried to say, but no words came out. She snatched away from Lily�s grasp and crawled into her covers again. She nodded to Lily when she saw her questioning look.
�Alright then, it�s settled. Today at 1:00 Sharp!� She said so strict that it made Alicia jump. She lowered her voice, �We will have a meeting about this matter.� She finished with a smile.
Alicia nodded sadly. Then she slid down into her blanket and fell asleep. When she opened her eyes. �Oh no. Not this place again.� She thought as the castle covered with red vines appeared again. This time she was outside.
�It�s just a dream�, Alicia muttered to herself. � I�m not going to believe in it.� She said promising to herself as she turned around to the dark woods surrounding it.
�Oh well� She whispered again. �I guess this is the only other choice.� Suddenly a voice behind startled her. She turned around, just to see Melissa standing there.
�Gosh, Alicia, you don�t have to go nuts on me.� She said as she passed by Alicia.
�Where did you come from?� Alicia asked, still shocked by Melissa�s all-of-a-sudden appearance.
�Um, Alicia, you saved me. From that lord whatever his name.� Melissa said twirling her hair around her finger and rolling her eyeballs.
�Oh, well, now what do we do?� Alicia questioned, trying to hide the fact that she was still confused.
�How did you get here Alicia? We follow the path you took home!� She said almost like screaming.
�Uh, I don�t remember.� Alicia exclaimed embarrassed.
�Don�t tell me that you used bread crumbs and birds ate them.� Melissa teased more seriously.
�I didn�t!� Alicia yelled. � I don�t know how I got here! Don�t blame me!�
Melissa looked shamefully to herself. � I guess I shouldn�t really blame you, you saved me.� Melissa said in a low voice. She walked over to Alicia. �Let�s try to find out way back.� She suggested.
Alicia nodded with a smile. Glad that they were working together now. After walking in an endless forest. Melissa lost hope as she dropped down to her knees. �
We�ll never make it out of here.� She whispered, then repeated it again a little louder.
�We�ll make it out.� Alicia claimed seriously as she walked over to Melissa. �We�ll only be lost if we give up if we keep on going and if we die here, we�ll die trying.� Alicia said still talking in a whisper. All of a sudden, a rustle in the thorn bushes broke Alicia�s relax ness. Another one caused her to jump up.
�Who�s there?� Alicia ordered, quietly signaling Melissa to get up quietly. Melissa slowly stood up. A few leaves rattled again. Then out jumped a rabbit. Alicia let out a breath as she put her hands down from karate mode.
Melissa walked over, �what a cute rabbit.� She said rubbing the rabbit�s twinkling nose.
�Boo!� Shawn said as he stepped out of the bushes. He brushed a couple rose splinters off his cloak.
�You.� Alicia said surprised.
�Me.� Shawn said smiling.
�I hate it when you smile.� Melissa complained.
�Melissa�� Alicia began. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a second, when she opened them, �Run!�
Melissa was ready. She speeded after Alicia and ran at her fastest pace. �Alicia, watch out for the thorns!� She yelled as one scraped her shoulder. �Ouch� She said sarcastically. �
She turned back behind her, expecting Shawn to be behind them. But he was nowhere in sight. Melissa thought that he couldn�t catch up anymore, she yelled anyway, � I�ll get you back for this,� She took a deep breath, �this is a new blouse!� She finished.
When she looked before her, the sight terrified her. Shawn was there, floating in the air. He had caught Alicia, who was grasped in his tight arms.
�You,� Alicia began as she struggled in his arms. �Let me go!� She yelled kicking him. He just smiled. Melissa slip to a stop.
�Giving up Melissa?� Shawn asked with a smile.
�No, she would never give up!� Alicia yelled as she bit him on the hand.
�Ow� He said shaking his hand. Alicia gave another kick to free her. It worked!
�Run!� Alicia yelled again as she started forward. Melissa quickly nodded. She turned back at Shawn who was groaning about his hand and stomach. She kicked him on both legs as hard as she could.
�That�s for my blouse!� She said as she kicked one again. �And that�s for Alicia!� She yelled as she kicked the other one again.
�Come on!� She heard Alicia yell in front. Melissa kicked him one more time before taking off again. She giggled at the thought of Shawn lying helplessly on the ground, complaining about Alicia and her.
Alicia was glad they were free. But after all he did. She wasn�t so sure anymore. She was ready for him at any minute. After running for a long time. Alicia stopped in front.
Melissa stopped too. �Why are you stopping?� She asked looking at Alicia.
Alicia pointed in front. � Look.�
Melissa gasped. They were at the top of a mountain. But the view was beautiful. The sky was clear blue. But when they turned back to the thorny forest, the sky above was gray-black. Alicia started down the mountain. The trees were bright green. After a while, Melissa noticed there were fresh apples hanging on the tree. They shared spot under the tree. �
What a life.� Alicia said, as she took an apple from the pile they got.
�Right!� Melissa said. She spotted a tree with loads of branches. �There! Look, we can climb trees!�
�Are you sure?� Alicia said. She didn�t really like to climb trees. She wasn�t really the sports type. Just then the same rabbit came again. Then Shawn appeared again. Alicia groaned when she saw him smile. �Oh no�
Alicia woke up with a scream. �Again?� She muttered to herself. � She looked at her watch. It was 1:30! Where was Lily? She went out of her room.
When she peeked inside the crack of Aaron�s room she saw him hugging her. Alicia suddenly felt something inside she�d never experienced before. � Am I jealous?� She asked herself. Lily was the children�s maid. �She must share the same moments with them like me� She thought again.
Without thinking, Alicia walked into Aaron�s room. � Hi.� She said shyly as she walked over to Lily and Aaron. � Hi Alicia, since you were asleep, I decided for me and Aaron to have our little meeting she said. � Oh, well then I guess I should leave.� Alicia said as she ran out of the room. She heard Lily tell her something but it wasn�t quite clear.
�Aaron is the oldest. He has been with Lily first, so Lily must like him more than me!� She muttered to herself as she sprang on her bed. Lily came in a second after, with Aaron following her.
�Alicia, are you okay?� Lily asked with an unsure voice. Aaron came from behind.
�Are you okay? I don�t know what your upset about, if it�s about these albums we were looking about to remember the past, I can throw them away.� Aaron joked. He was hoping it would get Alicia to giggle but it didn�t.
�Aaron, thanks for trying, I think Alicia and me should have a little private talk.� Lily suggested as she pushed Aaron out of the door.
�There,� Alicia thought, � She here�s for me again. How will I ever survive without her? �
�Alicia, are you okay? If there�s something wrong, I�m always here for you to talk to.� Lily said again in a sweet voice. Alicia looked up; her whole face seemed splashed with tears.
�Lily!� She yelled, � I thought you were my best friend! But your all my brother�s and sister�s, too, I don�t feel special anymore.� She finished, now tears began to roll out again. Her red eyes glittered when the sun shone their way.
�Of course I�m your brother�s and sister�s best friend Alicia, but that doesn�t mean I�m not yours.� Lily explained.
�But I don�t feel like it. When I think of you with them, acting the same with them like me. I just don�t feel special anymore!� She yelled again then she fell back on her pillow again.
�Alicia, I�m still yours, I still like you better than all of them. You are my favorite, you are my angel.� Lily said letting her shoulders down.�
�Really, I�m really your favorite.� Alicia asked, feeling babyish about this argument with Lily over Lily.
�Yes, when your Aaron came out, I loved him but he wasn�t for me, same as Angel. But when you came out. I loved you with all my heart. I knew you were the one for me. You turned out to be the best!� Lily exclaimed.
Alicia smiled as she wiped away some tears. � You�re the best, too, Lily!� Alicia said as she hugged Lily. � You�re the best, too.
