True Heart  Chapter 5

Alicia! Lily started, Alicia, wake up! She said again shaking her forward then backwards again.
Huh, what? Alicia mumbled sleepily as she slowly opened her eyes.
Aaahhhhhh! She screamed as she took a look at her room. What happened, where are all my belongings? She asked again, taking another look at her empty room.
Alicia, its all packed, member? Lily reminded her. Youre leaving soon. Quickly get dressed then brush your hair. Your parents are getting very impatient with you. Hurry up Alicia! Lily said sometimes screaming.
Oh no, I better hurry before dad has a cow! Alicia said getting out of bed. She quickly opened her closet. No clothes! She screamed.
* * *
Alicia walked down the marble staircases, with Lily carrying some of her belongings and a butler carrying the rest.
Excited? Aaron asked boldly as he passed by her.
Barely. Alicia answered, still her head forward, not even turning at Aarons appearance. Aaron had much more stuff then her, so he required 2 men.
Alicia got into the cab and Lily slid in after her. She was carrying a handkerchief in her right hand and holding the bag that held some of Alicias books in the left.
As the cab passed the library, Alicia waved goodbye. She knew this was the last time she would lay her eyes on this small, but proud town. One of her friends from school was buying a new dress when Alicia ordered the cab to stop. She got off the hugged her, then got back in and buckled up again.
She passed the mall, where she would hang out with her friends when it was a free weekend. Of course, Sundays were taken by lessons and church.
She eyed the little children playing along the streets, jumping rope and licking lollypops. Alicia wasnt like that when little. She was born to a very
rich family. So it was tea parties, and table manners for her. She admired the life little ordinary girls had, and sometimes wished that she was one, too. But it was that regretting feeling that came. She was very
lucky.
It took a while to get to the airport, where people were waving goodbye to their love ones, and hugging, crying was all over the place. Alicia got off facing the sun, her hat blocking some of it. Alicia turned
back to the cab facing Lily.
Im going to really miss you. Lily said as she walked over.
Im going to miss you, too. Alicia muttered to Lily. Email everyday okay? She asked as she walked away.
Everyday, Lily answered nodding her head as she said it again, everyday.
Alicia smiled as she nodded, then turned and silently walked with her parent to the ticket station.
Alicia shot a look at Angel, who was still complaining, and still mad. Alicia heard her last night yelling they couldnt make her go. Now it looks
like shes going.
She looked around to see if Melissa was here. Even though her father already told her that there were tons of planes leaving to London at different times, she still believed that Melissa was going to be here.
Nope! No Melissa in sight. Alicia signed to herself, knowing that again her father was right. She knew it from the beginning that it was a 25% of a chance for Melissa to show up. They might not be even riding on
first class. Even if they were, she still wouldnt get to go with her. Her family owned private planes. No, they have to ride on first class, they were rich like Alicia, but not as rich, still Melissas dad did not
like to be treated like ordinary people, he thought too highly of himself is what Alicia always thinks.
Alicia! Alicia turned around to see who it was. She scanned the lot, then spotted Lily waving goodbye. Feeling not so sad anymore, she waved goodbye back.
Alicia! Come on, out plane leaves in 10 minutes. Her father said as he looked back at her.
Okay dad, just a minute, I need a quick drink. Alicia scanned the room for a drinking fountain.
No time, her father shouted nodding to the ticket person. You can get a drink on the plane! He finished as he signaled her to hurry up. Alicia signed then walked over to her family.
She walked around the corner and into the platform that was connected to the door of the plane. She followed Aaron who was very excited about going to London. He smiled when he saw the woman who welcomed
them to their private plane and ran up to shake her hand. She giggled as he smiled happily and jumped in like a child going to the carnival.
Alicia walked in. This was a different plane. Shed ridden in all of her familys planes and this wasnt one of them. It was huge, with a computer and a mini movie T.V.
I guess daddy bought a new and improved one. Alicia caught under her breath. The butlers came in with their belongings and put them away behind the curtains.
Alicia felt sleepy all of a sudden; she lied down in a soft cushiony chair and fell into a deep sleep.
Oh no, not this place again. Stuck in the same dream, she walked over to a pond. I wonder where Melissa is? She thought to herself as a bird flew over her head, its feet barely touching Alicias
head.
Melissa! Where are you? She shouted going around some trees.
Up here! Melissa shouted as an apple dropped in front of Alicia.
She looked up, What are you doing up there. Alicia asked, angry and confused.
What does it looked like Im doing, Im eating apples, and you should, too. Their very delicious.
No thanks, I dont have a very bid appetite right now. Alicia answered.
Suite yourself. Melissa said biting into a juicy apple.
After enough apples to full her stomach, Melissa got down to find Alicia gone. Alicia, Melissa said, knowing it was a trick. Oooooo, Im so scared. Melissa said again, hoping Alicia would come out. Alicia panicked Melissa her voice shivered as she found out that Alicia wasnt here anymore.
Alicia woke up again. Finally. She thought to herself. She looked out the window. It was noon already. Wow she had been sleeping for 4 hours. She stretched as a maid walked over.
Anything to eat or drink madam? She asked in a French accent.
Ill have a low fat cappuccino please. Alicia answered politely.
Anything else maam? The maid asked again as she wrote on a notepad.
No thank you. Im fine. She replied smiling.
The maid came out walking balancing the cappuccino in a plate as she walked over with a napkin in the other.
     Here you go.
     Thank you.
She took a slip of the hot cappuccino. It was delicious! Much better than the ones Daisy made for them.
Were here! She heard Aaron yell out.
She took a quick glance out the window. Wow! It was amazing. The buildings were tall. As the plane neared the airport, Alicia packed up her things. She took another irresistible glace out the window at the City. It was like a painting. Alicia had read about London, and how it was the number 1 spot for vacationers.
The plane slowly drifted down. Alicias ears went numb. She quickly swallowed a gulp of air to refresh her listening. She saw Angel and the excited look on her face. Not so sad anymore? She teased as Angel
shocked in amazement.
She giggled, no, not anymore. Who could resist the companionship of this town?
Buckle up please. Were clear for landing. The pilot said not even turning his head from the wheel. They all sat back down, with anxiousness in their hearts. Alicia peeked out side again. She couldnt wait to go outside and breath in fresh London air. And her first thoughts when stepping on London would be
     This is so cool!
As Aaron made the countdown, Alicia relaxed in her seat. Ethan joined in the countdown when it got to 10. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 21! They yelled, trying to out sound the roaring when the planes wheels touched
the ground. They cheered as it rolled across the strait line. And its a perfect landing. Aaron pretended, as he put on a fake voice like a reporter
and held up an invisible microscope and talked into it.
Alicia shook her head. They did act kind of babyish sometimes.
As the plane slid across the open road, Alicia stayed in her seat, leaning over at the beautiful view beside her. Of course she couldnt see the proud buildings from here but the view was still extraordinary.
After a long slid all the way to the buildings, the plane finally stopped. As they got off the plane, Alicia stopped to sniff the fresh air of London. She slowly stepped on the ground.
Wow She thought to herself. This place is amazing already. As her bags came off she quickly grabbed the little one that held all of her most important belongings, most from Lily, her classmates, and
teachers.
This way, pointed out a man dressed in blue, "I already arranged your limos. Theyre waiting over there". Alicia thanked them, and her parents nodded as he finished the short speech.
Finally they arrived at the Faremont hotel. As people took their bags again, others lead them to their huge luxury. It had 7 rooms. 1 more than needed. At there awaited a letter for Alicia.
How did they know that we were staying in this room, we were assigned to it right now. Her father questioned curiously.
Alicia thought the same but took the letter. Her eyes widen as she zoomed through the letter. Not believing, Alicia read it again. It was clear enough. She asked for her parent privately.
Read this. She said as the others left for their rooms. Her father took it first.
Is that tomorrow, you have to go there tomorrow? He asked as he looked back up at her.
     Alicia nodded.
What school? What tomorrow? Questioned Mrs. Sharp as she snatched the paper away from her husband.
Oh my lord. She mumbled. I use to dream about these things when I was young, watching Harry Potter movies and reading the books. Oh I was such a huge fan. I wished that magic would come into this world of
mine and now it has. Such a special honor has been given to my daughter, I am so very proud. I am sad that you have to leave tomorrow. But this is very important, Alicia. You must go. Her mother pleaded.
I know its a great honor, and I couldnt be more wrong if I said no, but Im going to be away from you all year until next summer. I guess I have to go. But how will I get my school supplies? Alicia asked and
was halfway finished when someone appeared.
      Boo! He joked.
     Ahh! Who are you?
Your guild, Milton, if you would come this way, we will get on our way and get your school supplies.
Thank you, I think. Alicia replied, confused.
May we come? offered Mrs. Sharp.
Uh, it might slow us down but if you must.
We must! They said in unison.
Then lets be on our way. He said sprinkling powder into the air. Then Poof!
Lets see. Muttered Milton. Sharp, Sharp, ahh, here Sharp. Umm Alicia Sharp.
I do have a middle name. Offered Alicia.
Milton looked at her angrily. Then why didnt you tell me earlier. Now I wasted perfect time looking for a name that doesnt exist."
What did I do? You didnt ask for my middle name!" Alicia yelled back angrily. Thinking that it was none of her fault.
So now youre blaming me, for not asking you. I remember perfectly, that when we went, I asked you for your name.
But you didnt ask for my Full name. Alicia snapped back at him.
Uh! Any guild elf would know better to not argue with a witch! Im just wasting my busy schedule on a very annoying witch! He yelled, his face turning from Pale Green to Blood Red.
You are so annoying! She screamed back, bursting with angriness.
Okay, lets settle this, whats your middle name. Milton finished, trying to calm himself down and work things out.
Say sorry first. Alicia ordered still not facing him.
Uh! Too annoying! Sorry, gosh. He snapped back.
Mean it? Alicia asked turning her face sideways over.
Yes! Now can we get this over with? He said, rolling his eyes.
My middle name is Scarlet. I know its a weird name, but thats it! No questions asked. She said holding up her hand against him face.
Alicia Scarlet Sharp lets see, umm here!" He slowly pulled out a box. Then opened it and got a key out from his pocket. Here! You open the box, got your stuff, lock the box and lets get tickets for the train. Oh wait, thats in the box, than lets head out for the train!
Okay Lets see. Books, Tickets, and a robe! Cool! Alicia said as she twirled around in the bright Scarlet robe. Its the color of my middle!
Okay, okay, now we have to go. Bye-bye parents. It was nice having you here. He quickly pulled out a bag and got the powder out. Her parents disappeared.
      Where are they? She ordered.
Back where they started, your hotel. Now no time were running late.
Okay, Ill go, but tell me, will I have a different guild next time?
There will be no next time with a guild. Youll go with yourself. He added, looking kind of relived.
Youll get some one more like me next time, I can sense it! Alicia said, feeling weird about the feeling that told her.
Shut your mouth little girl! He snapped. Be quiet or youll never go!
      Fine!
Uh! Youre so annoying! Lets just get this over with! He pulled some powder out and tossed it into the air. It took 13 minutes floating before they got there.
Theres your train, this goblin will escort you there. Thank goodness, see you, you little brat! he snapped again as he quickly pulled out sand and disappeared. Alicia didnt really mind, she knew she was acting like one anyway, just to make him made and get all that over with. Now that shed seen what a horrible guild he was, she was never so glad about him
leaving.
Maam, your escort awaits. The goblin muttered very mannered.
Yes, thank you for waiting. She climbed aboard the fancy carriage and rode. People passed by without even glancing at this strange thing.
The goblin noticed her unsure look and spoke out, Were invisible.
Thank you for telling me that.
Youre welcome. Here we go madam, you get off there.
Alicia looked outside. It was completely different; it was like they passed through a gate that flipped the world around. People took her bags as she boarded the train. Others hurried to say bye and ran on the
train like overexcited children. But there were all 12-year-olds, just like her!
As she chooses a place to sit she noticed that a lot of the children had pets, not normal pets, abnormal pets. Like one has a pet wolf, the most common ones are Snakes, weird snakes that can talk!
She finally found an empty place. Excuse me can I sit with you? Everywhere else id full. Asked a blonde haired girl.
Knock yourself out, Alicia said as she moved some of her bags away.       Whats your name, mines Shirley, Shirley Lane, nice to meet you. The girl said, giving out her hand to shake.
Hi Shirley! Mines Alicia, Alicia Sharp.
Ive heard of that name before.
      Where?
I dont know, probably just a name similar.
      Okay
Umm any more room here? Asked a girl who just walked by.
Alicia turned around Melissa! Its you, what are you doing here? She asked overexcited.
I got a letter! Did you? Melissa questioned, glad to see a friend.
Yeah! Did you get a guild? I did a really mean one. But I got a really nice escort. Alicia answered crouching her face when she said that.
Yeah, I got a guild, but not an escort. Also my guild was really nice. Melissa said her voice sounding happier by the second.
You got a escort? Shirley cut in.
Yeah, replied Alicia, why, arent you supposed to get one?
No! Only leaders do! You must be Alicia, the Dark Princess! She cried.
What? Alicia and Melissa asked in unison.
Thats where I heard of you. Youre the daughter of the dark leader, I cant say his name youll be cursed if you do so. Shirley warned.
My fathers not the dark leader, hes not even magical, and whats so scary about saying Mark Sharp? Alicia questioned again, confused.
Mark Sharp? Whos that, oh yeah, I remember, they adopted you! Your real last name is ummdont tell anybody I said this okay, She took in a deep breath. Vandorate. Its Alicia Whitefire. Thats your true
name. Your mother didnt like a girls last name to be Vandorate and since of your beauty and heart full of kindness, he gave you the last name of Whitefire.
Wow, she knows more about you than you do! Melissa said, conceiving as Alicia is.
Alicia nodded, Just how do you know this much about me? She asked quietly for no special reason.
Everybody knows its almost in every book. Shirley answered.
Alicia slid her head down, Wow, I was adopted. She muttered softly. I cant believe it. She said holding her head back up and shacking her head. I cc-cant. She whispered. Regretting hearing this fact.
So thats why it took sometime for the guild to find my name, he finally realized who I was. She thought to herself, than quickly came up with another question for Shirley, who was ready to give an answer
to every question thrown at her.
Is my middle name Scarlet? She asked.
Umm I dont think so; I remember it, as it was a part of it. Your middle name is Dark-Scarlet. Your father had to give you that name; he thought you had to have something that had to do with darkness when
they named you. This might upset you but the dark lord died. Shirley said, trying to get more information out of her head. Oh wait, I remember reading a book with your whole family in it.
My 'Whole' family? Alicia asked, still wondering, she didnt really feel that bad about the fact that her true father died. If he walked passed her she wouldnt even know it was he.
Yes, including your brother, hes alive, maybe around 17-years-old or something. Shirley said as she flipped through pages of what looked like an ancient book.
Here! She announced happily, I found it!
She handed the book to Alicia. Alicia desperately took it.
Oh no, She muttered. On the page, was the picture of her brother? Also named Shawn.
Shawn? She said pointing to the picture with her finger.
Yeah, thats Shawn, how did you know? Shirley said turning to Alicia.
From my dreams. Alicia muttered weakly.
