The Dillon Consortium is the largest private company in the Federation. Started by Bradley Dillon as a frontier Supply Depot on Waystation it did not take long for it to expand into a true conglomerate. Despite the "no money needed" society of Earth and the Federation, Dillon became consumed with the idea of business and making a profit. Rather than cheat his customers, as a Ferengi would, Bradley preferred to gain a reputation as a good businessman. From his humble beginnings Dillon soon accumulated a large fortune which aided him to become Federation President in 2377. Having defeated all meaningful competition, financial prosperity looks secure for the widespread Consortium. | ||||||||

The S.S. Hansean is a new Dillon
Consortium Merchant Ship, launched on Stardate 178014, registration DCGL-9336. It holds
a crew of 32 and is capable of carrying up 300 tonnes in cargo traveling at
speeds of up to
Warp 9.5.
In addition the Hansean has several smaller raceabouts and shuttles, and the River Running, a specialized Fast Delivery Vehicle (FDV) capable of delivering smaller packages away from the Hansean at increased speeds.

The raceabout was actually initially introduced in the late 24th century as the follow up to the runabout. Since no one at Starfleet could come up with a faster sounding name, the title stuck from then on. Raceabouts are faster and more maneuverable than their 24th century counterparts and are still the travel method of choice for trips to far to go in a shuttle.
The Hansean has a compliment of three raceabouts: two standard raceabouts named the S.S. Anduin and S.S. Entwash, and the SS River Running, a faster raceabout with special engines upgrades.
