The Blue Key Society was founded in Port
Chester Junior High in 1944 by music teacher Archie Jacobs to
encourage young musicians. Since 1944, the ranks of Blue Key
members have grown into the thousands. On June 13, 2004, Blue
Key alums and friends gathered to celebrate the accomplishments
of the last six decades -- and to look forward to the future.
Composer Captain Kenneth Force, Representative Nita Lowey, County Legislator Marty Rogowski and
Mayor Gerald Logan were among the celebrants.
