Real Audio is the devil.
The Punk Online Radio Network's (then going by the name
Punk Radio Network and using the show name "Punk
Radio Weekly", haha, weekly... right...) first broadcast
from september 1999. This little time warp is an interesting
bit of PORN history and has a few very cool bands on there
that sent us stuff. Mir's local bands broadcasts are hopefully
going to be going back to a format similar to this, only
much more professionally done, thanks to the wonders of
our new equipment and technology.

The return of PORN. Recorded
on a cold December day in 2000, in the midst of a small
party at Bemis' house. Its pretty amusing, and is the
longest porn broadcast to date, lasting over 90 minutes.
This informal format is being adopted by Bemis and Mir
for the PORN: Swingers Club. Actual PORN broadcasts took
a different direction, becoming slightly more organized
for PORN #4. This is the begging of second generation
PORN.

A PORN broadcast very
close to the way Mir would like to see them run in the
future. The PORN crew was there, fairly attentive, and
although the broadcast is not as humorous as PORN #3,
it has preparedmusic, and it is alot easier to understand
whats going on. This is about as professional as the PORN
crew gets.

Bemis + ska + emo + boredness
= Ska PORN. Recorded on a hot wenesday afternoon in May
at Bemis's house. Mir characterized the broadcast as sounding
like Kroq's Rodney on the Roq for ska. Its a good show
if you're looking for some traditional radio. Less talk
more rawk is Bemis' motto. A showcase of the music that
was 'rawking' Bemis's world at that particualr moment.

Mystery

Also known as "Swinger's
Club 0", this was the inadvertant formation of an
all new brand of PORN. One late night in May, Mir and
Bemis busted out their mics and did this just for the
hell of it. It turned out sounding, well, the way it sounded,
which is pretty good, despite some technical difficulties.
The PORN: Swinger's Club was based on a combination of
this broadcast and PORN #3.

Originally intended to
be recorded late, late one saturday night (sunday morning)
with our good friend Christina, we ended up having to
record the next afternoon due to technical difficulties
(Bemis' computer sucks). Erik showed up for the 2nd recording,
and it turned out pretty funny, although we're still trying
to work the bugs out of this kind of broadcast.

The second Swinger's Club
came about on another boring night, less than a week from
Swinger's Club #1. This was the first broadcast to feature
a hidden contest, and is yet another step in the slow
evolution of the strange form of media that is PORN.
Featuring: Mir, Bemis, Alex, and 30 seconds of Jojo and
Kristen.
