It is expected that the Tijuana Looters will roll into town later today
for their match on Wednesday against the hometown Sacredicity Saints,
something that has the town of almost 100,000 people buzzing with
excitement. Despite the disappointment of their opening day loss
many within the city have high hopes for the Saints in their inaugural
rugby season.
Mayor Keith Zinniwell of Sacredicity has already boasted of victory tomorrow for the hometown Saints. The game, sold out for weeks now, will be played at Heavens Gates Field. As the team trained for their game today, coaches were running over tape of the Aust City Tigers win against the Tijuana Looters on Sunday. Though it is not known whether they were looking at anything specific, it was noticeable that they focused on the play of a few Looters' players, for a sizeable amount of time. The players on the Saints however were more focused on their training for the big game. 'Worrying about one or two players is not going to help us, we need to focus on our game strategy so we do not end up in the same position as on Sunday', noted starting Saints Fly Half, John Salmon. Coach Albert Greenshaw was even more to the point when he noted, 'if those cowboys in Camelot can score then we had better start scoring as well, else I may start looking at finding others who can do a better job for our team. Tomorrow's match will mark the first time an international rugby match is being played in the town of Sacredicity. It is hoped that the team will mark this occasion with a victory. |
