The rumours are true. For months now there have been rumours that
the town of Camelot, despite their recent failure at getting a rugby
franchise in the national league, has been on the verge of getting
together other areas of the nation to get a rugby league of their own up
and running. Yesterday that plan was finally advanced into reality.
The newly announced Premier Rugby League established itself officially yesterday and announced that it would be welcoming other nations in joining. Rumours had originally surfaced that the recent World Cup of Rugby champions Aust would be one of the nations with teams participating though as of yet they have yet to officially sign up _______________________________________ 'a good thing for the nation.' -The Prime Minister, in relation to word of the establishment of another rugby league within the country. ________________________________________ Meanwhile in the rest of the country most rugby fans were delighted yet surprised by the move. 'Camelot was given an expansion franchise that was later taken from them so I guess you could expect this', noted one fan on the streets of Locke Harbour, the capital. A representative of the PopularFreedom Rugby League (PRL) seemed less understanding however as when contacted noted that the PRL was the only league in the nation and they would fight this move and, 'at the very least ensure that the letters PRL could only be used by the true rugby league in PopularFreedom'. Though it was unclear what if anything the PRL could do to stop the league from functioning, it is true that with the Premier Rugby League announcing their existence that many rugby fans in the nation could be confused if they too referred to the acronym PRL. The Prime Minister of PopularFreedom even weighed in on the debate about this new league calling the new league, 'a good thing for the nation', and in regards to the name acronym controversy noting that, 'it is obvious that the new league will need sponsors to get off the ground so no doubt they will allow the league to be named by a sponsor so I assume that that should make this a non-issue soon enough'. |
Members of the Camelot Wasps have already been practicing for quite some time before yesterday's official announcement. |
