Most of the links to the right are fairly self-explanatory. I have pages dealing with my environmental concerns and some thoughts about religion and spirituality. I also have pages dealing with politics and technology. I also discuss some of the writers and ideas which have influenced me over the years. And since no one likes to be serious all the time I have pages dealing with renaissance festivals and other more common forms of entertainment. I also have links to my wife's pages and my Myspace page as well. Where I'm Coming From

Growing up on a farm I learned to appreciate the Earth and the need to protect the environment. I also became an avid reader. I read a lot of science fiction and fantasy which portrayed both the best and worst of the human character and what type of world we might create in the future. When I went off to college in the "big city" I was exposed to even more ideas. In particular I learned about religious and political viewpoints which I hadn't considered before.
All those ideas have now been percolating in my brain for many years while I went about living my "normal" life of marriage, kids, divorce, and marriage again. For most of us, surviving day to day while trying to earn enough to pay the bills and provide for our families is hard work. We don't always have time to think about the big picture and how our lives might impact on the world at large. But our choices do matter and can have greater impact than we might imagine. I guess these pages are my small way of sharing my ideas with the world in the hope that I can make someone think about things in new way.
