The Pope County Literacy Council, Inc. is a non-profit agency that trains volunteers to provide one-to-one literacy and ESL (English as a Second Language) tutoring for students. We are dedicated to helping the residents of Pope County improve their reading and life skills in order to enhance their lives as citizens of our community.
Our Council works with adults, age 18 and older, who test below the sixth grade level in basic literacy.We provide a wide selection of instructional materials and various approaches to help each student learn to their full potential.We are located on the 2nd floor of the old Gardner Junior High School located at 1000 South Arkansas in Russellville.
