Press-Gangs

With Mexico pushing their space program, press-gangs have arisen to obtain the growing need for "colonists" and workers of off-tera installations of various companies. The main source of the people taken off world is either those with no fix abodes whatever the age, street kids being the most common, or picked up at bars and clubs signed up when they were in no fit state to tie their own shoe laces, and who wake up in the morning with a hangover and the earth getting smaller behind them. There are many abductions and missing persons that have been blamed upon these press-gangs, who deny the whole thing and say the only take those who willing join up.

It is also worth noting that anyone who can afford the launch fees for their vehicle and crew and passengers/cargo can launch from Mexico and many self styled "genesis projects" have left the earth to start new worlds the other side of the galaxy with the settlers in stasis. The draw back here is, only large companies or foreign governments have the rights to land a Space ship in Mexico after it has been launched, so for many space bound vessels from Mexico are on a one way trip.

If the G/M is so inclined as I am, for every roll of Inquisition on the encounters roll, do an odds evens roll for press-gang instead, it tends to keep parties on their toes.....
